I'm going to have to use some, especially with faultroll looking vaguely like magneto, but i dont want it to be the focus of the deck.
I want it to somehow relate to the x-men.
Yeah its just not possible.

I was destroying him with my Gladiator Beast deck, and then he just left.

He was trying to intimidate you. Apparently he's very bad at it.

If he lost to Glads, he's just a really bad player.

He was a noob! He tried to summon a monster in attack, then attack my monster (equipped with the card that lets it stay alive even when it's supposed to die) and tried to shift to defense after. Lols

Or his deck runs a lot of weak monsters to setup big monster plays and glads easily feed off of that. AKA bad matchup
misread. disregard.

Glads auto lose if they open with shi en.
And hurrr durrrr, on the day we talk about ftks, an almost completely consistent ftk shows up!

Will Wrote:You use ancient deep sea king coealacanth with starblast, making him lvl1, and a level eater in hand to summon all of your fish. You synchro into a bunch of crap, eventually getting 3 dewloren tigers in the grave. Use symbol of heritage to revive and bounce. With librarian you can draw your whole deck, you can synchro into tempest magician after to discard and burn for game. Or you can synchro into trishula, bounce with dewloren, repeat. Your opp has 0 cards in hand, you have formula, dewloren, and a level eater. At their main phase start, you trishula again to remove their last card. No coming back at all. Theres a video that ill link to later. You can look up fishftk though and probably find it
You need to open with level eater, star blast, and king though. Which is very unlikely.trunade if you go second

Maybe I should try playing this game again.
I'm probably a noob now though, because I stopped playing around when the elemental neos monsters came out and I don't know that much about Synchro stuff.

Worry not! I stopped playing around the same time until will got me back into the game almost a year ago. Fairly easy to learn. Synchros aren't complicated at all.

Formula's even been advertised by konami about how you can threaten your opponent with a black rose nuke on their own turn.

All FTKs are abusing certain game mechanics that loop over and over so you can kill in 1 hit.
I don't understand it at all, but my brother's opinion on it is that it's okay, but not that efficient, it's pretty situational, it won't always work etc.
@Will: "Thats only if formula is chained to an effect ." - Apparently there's no reason to not chain it to an effect i.e. you should only do it if you are chaining it to an effect
Has anyone here ever done actual tournaments hosted by konami? Or even say small local tournaments?

Will and I went to YCS anaheim a few months back. We also go to the same locals.
I was actually trying to get into the more competitive scene but without a job or rich parents/ being an only child it's just not going to happen. Too much money. I'm taking a break for now at least until I get a job/ warnings and or duality gets reprinted and is actually affordable ._.
Will still plays a lot though.

considering he has to draw one card out of 40, i can kinda agree with him, so many things can go wrong if it's not the first turn.

Deck is bad. Sarcs and whatnot are to search and I can see clayman stalling for a turn or two but really the deck is pretty bad unless you topdeck future fusion insanely often, which is highly unlikely. And the deck will always pretty much lose game 2 and 3. Still lulzy to troll with on DN
