Milk -- Which do you prefer?

I was looking for the pastorized/sterelized milk option. It's a type of producing that can be done with any milk, really. I drink milk that's called 'half-full'here. so idk what to choose ;3

In America, All milk is required to be pasteurized Douwe. I know in SOME countries its not required, but in the US it is.
I guess its required over where you live also...(Berlin? Belgium? I dont remember)

Not true. You can find raw milk in some specialty groceries, but you have to look a bit harder for it. Since it hasn't been pasteurized, the shelf life is only like 7-10 days, so yeah, most grocery chains don't carry it.


I also imagine dairy farmers drink raw milk, though I'm just talking out my ass here and have no experience to back up this claim.

I generally drink 2%, though I prefer whole milk. So much more flavor in whole milk. 1% is ok too, but I still prefer whole milk. I can't drink soy milk/almond milk because I am allergic to them.

I'm gonna assume full cream = whole milk. That's the only milk I ever drink, I've never tried skim or % milk before. Soy and rice milk is nice too, though I'd rather eat the rice than make "milk" out if it. As for almond milk...some days I like the taste of almonds, but other days I find it sickening.

I'm sure coffee-creamer such as Coffee Mate cream isn't considered as dairy, but I notice I drink this a lot (raw). I feel like a cat at times.

My family is anal about health (sister =vegetarian, dad looks 20 years younger than he is) so all we have is skim milk.

Yea, pretty sure that's not the case, though I imagine the government does everything they can to encourage pasteurization, probably through money given to companies that pasteurize.

Sadly, I found out that this is true, and that this is a quite big problem for the Mexican population within the US. Many pregnant Mexican women drink raw milk. Raw milk contains, among other bacteria, the bacterias b. tuberculosis and listeria. Guess what happens when you drink that: Miscarriage.

I drink whole milk like a man.

I'm allergic to the proteins in milk which make me violently ill. But when I say pineapple it and drink it anyways and take it like the champ I am, I drink chocolate milk or 1/2 %.

Hate my life. Milk is sooooooooooooooo good.

Christ people. Here in Holland, capital of Milk, we only have 3-4 kinds.

Volle Melk, which means full milk

Halfvolle Melk which means half-full

And Magere melk, which means meager.

Soy milk and others ofcourse.

I always go for the one they call "Semi-Skimmed" (generally has a green top/label), I have absolutely no idea of the percentage. Whole milk has lumps in it and skimmed has little flavour.

Goats milk is pretty awesome too, if a little different-tasting.

I drink full-cream/whole milk. those are delicious. The thickness is good. Soy bean milk is not that bad, it used to be my favourite drink... i untill i found out about green tea.

Anyway, why do people say most asians are lactose intolerant ? Everyone i know drinks milk.
