Funny how the people in this thread assumes that she must be generalized as a whore just because she sent a picture of her breasts to her man. There's a difference between sending nudes to a 'special person' that you love, in comparison to sending out nudes to various people or groups of people just to show off your body or to get a one-night stand. I can understand some of you do not have girlfriends or boyfriends, but please, be more considerate when you type. I can't read most of the stuff in this thread because I laugh too hard trying to comprehend your logic, because the question I ask myself tends to be:

"What's their point? Are there any personal experiences coming out of this? Or just simply bullshittery?"

Because unless you've actually dated or had a girlfriend that has sent you nudes, or something of the sort that is similar to that aspect, comparing her to a whore is really inaccurate and is extremely low. I've had girlfriends that sent me nudes, though not full-body shots. They only send it to me, because they trusted me enough with those pictures. If they choose to send it to others, and sh`it spreads around, then they are a whore. If not, can't be called a whore. Learn your goddamn definitions before you call someone a whore.

That's like saying a girl is a slut because she is sitting on her boyfriend's lap and talking with him. That's not being a slut. For the ones who enjoys using a word without fully understanding it, I hope this dictionary quotation will help you with your future endeavors. Enjoy.

Not blaming Tinypic for not securing the images. Blaming the assholes over at 4chan or wherever who felt the need to poke around for this stuff, look at the EXIF data and harass her personally. "Welcome to the Internet" is a disgusting stance to take.

No, it doesn't take a genius to put this stuff together. Rather than "Welcome to the internet" this was more of a "Welcome to real life" call to her. You can't even cover her ass with computer illiteracy anymore, because the images are sent via text link. This is just blatant stupidity. She uses facebook, texts her friends, most likely emails (you need one to sign up for Facebook anyway, right?) so there's no possible way she could not know what a hyperlink is. You don't even have to think hard to memorize how one looks like, anyone with a normally functioning brain should pick up on such an easy to spot pattern naturally, without even thinking.

~I type in "www.facebook.com to go to Facebook." Facebook is a website online. I can access the internet from anywhere, and so can anyone else. When an email or message has something like "http://xxx.yyyy.zzz" in it, I can click that and go to a DIFFERENT site on the internet. This usually has an underline, and is blue colored.~

Keep in mind, this is information your mind should pick up on without even knowing how computers work. If you have an average IQ, hell even below average IQ, your mind should be able to put this stuff together. It's very basic logic, no computing knowledge needed. Moving on:

This is all information your brain gathers without you even trying. We naturally (should) pick up on patterns like this. We should piece together such simple concepts without any problem. My Grandmother only uses her computer to check emails and play solitary. As an experiment, I brought her to my room and asked her if she knew what a hyperlink was, asked her to identify one url on the page I was on, and asked her if she knew what would happen if I clicked it. Now, I know my grandmother is computer illiterate, but she's not an idiot. She gave me a look that told me she felt a bit insulted. In fact, if she was strict and couldn't take a joke, she would have probably been pretty pissed off at me for asking her such stupid questions. She answered, and when I told her why I was holding the experiment, she laughed her ass off and went back to watching her Soap Opera.

If your brain can't follow this simple logic, I wouldn't be surprised if you thought putting your cat in the microwave was a good idea. Fucking ridiculous. I thought she was stupid before, and that was when I thought the image itself was embedded into the message, but now that I see it simply gives you the image in A FREAKING URL, I can't even comprehend how someone could be so stupid.

I don't blame her for not knowing about EXIF data, this is something not commonly known. However, she obviously had problems with the image even being seen by someone other than her boyfriend. This alone would have caused her embarrassment. By the way, in the video she seems to be placing most of the blame on the service, rather than the individuals.

She deserves it because it's a mistake she won't forget. We all make mistakes, and mistakes are important because you learn from them. Now that she has this experience behind her, she (unless she's really brain-dead) will never do something similar again.

Not going to bother addressing the rest of your post, but this part is what really got me. She did use the application as it was intended. There was no fault on her part other than being naive as to think that she would be safe when using that application.

She's not a whore, she's naive or stupid or whatever you want to call her. Anyway, I don't see any good argument to support either theory: girls fault or companys fault.
IMO it was both fault. They didn't provide a good, privacy-safe application or whatever and the girl was silly/naive enough to use something without knowing that could happen.
Of course she blames Apple(?) and says "I paid to get my life ruined", who would say "Yeah, I might have messed up too?".
She's just beign condescending with herself, but we have enough info from the posts to know that it was both, the girl and the company, fault.

I don't understand what you're getting at. Just because something's a link doesn't necessarily make it public to everyone. Apparently she wasn't expecting it to be public to everyone. Besides, I upload stuff to Tinypic all the time that I wouldn't particularly want to be posted everywhere and traced to me, even if it is public to everyone. It takes a chain of people wanting to do this stuff on purpose.

The service? Sure. It could've stored the pictures a bit more privately. But it still needs to be stored somewhere accessible at all. The girl? Sure she could've been a bit more cautious. But when you upload a picture for your spouse you shouldn't have to worry about a bunch of Internet assholes spreading it around.
