Yeah, screw those women too lazy to take birth control pills! Clearly, all those women who don't want to take the pill are just not willing to put in the work!

I'm sure he didn't intend it as such. While there are side effects for women to take the initiative, there are also the women that would forget to take it because they are lazy. He didn't say all women.

Just like I'm sure birth control for guys could prove helpful/better suited for some people. If two people are in a more serious, committed relationship, then that option may be perfect for them. If it's just a 2-3 month long relationship, I don't see a purpose in it.
