If this procedure was easily reversible and tested a bit more then I would probably do it, in conjunction with being in a monogamous relationship.
Monogamous relationships *should* take care of any chance for STI and this procedure should take care of having to use a condom to protect each other from getting pregnant.
This has to be reversible though because I am 20 and if I decide that I want babies when I'm 25-28 and it turns out I can't until I'm 30+ I'll be pissed.
In terms of casual sex though, condoms are always #1.
