Also, as has been pointed out above, the medical expenses associated with a pregnancy, wanted or otherwise, are much higher than the cost of birth control. It is in the insurance company's best interest to buy birth control for everyone.
Even the law's proponents don't talk about costs. They talk about religion. So I guess employers who are Christian Scientists and believe in no medical intervention with the will of God at all, they needn't give their employees any medical coverage whatsoever.
I suppose you don't think insurance should cover pain medication, either? It doesn't save lives, just makes them more comfortable. If you're not man enough to grit your teeth and suffer your pain, pay for your own meds?
