Have you ever illegally downloaded a music file?
Yes.

If so then when did you start downloading music illegally? And how? (napster, limewire, various other ways)?
I started with KaZaA, and then moved on to webs, it's way easier.

Uh... like 20 artists, 3 or 4 genres.

Once a year. I was 11-12 back when I started dling music though. It was different.

How many albums or songs are you downloading illegally, on average, per month?
About 3 albums per month at least.

How many albums or songs are you buying, and if so why do you choose to buy them when you can simply download them for free?
Once in a while, like once a year, I buy an album to gift someone or to really support the artist I'm buying the album from. Otherwise most of the music I listen to isn't available in my country anyway.

Artists? More than 250 that's for sure. And... about 20 genres? If you count subgenres as well, lol. If not, only big groups of genres... 10-12.

How often do you go to concerts?
Uh... 4 times or more a year. Not more than 10 though. Ever.

Would you say you listen to music more now than you did before illegal downloads?
Yes, but it also has to do with the fact that I've grown up a lot. I listen to a broader list of genres and bands just because I've had more time to like them. I feel it's kind of obvious for most of the people that they start broadening their musical tastes when they get older, and they get to know more bands. Time makes us wiser I think.

How acceptable is piracy to you?
Totally acceptable.

Why do you believe piracy is not seen as stealing by many people?
I can only talk for my country here, but when most of the albums aren't available on physical copies and they're quite pricey, downloading is quite easy, affordable, and you can get everything that isn't published here.

Do you think piracy has, in anyway, changed the music industry for the better?
Actually, yes. Before the pirating era, most of the music industry had started halting and rotting in a corner. They would release squat, and most labels and artists were in standby. They had to get their asses moving to keep the audiences happy.

Another thing that is quite real and makes me feel good, is that MOST artists don't live by records sales anymore, they live by money from shows and presentations, which are in a great state of health lately.
