Have you ever illegally downloaded a music file?
Yes
If so then when did you start downloading music illegally? And how? (napster, limewire, various other ways)?
I can't recall when. Probably when I first got higher speed internet (compared to Dial up) maybe 7 years ago? As for how I found music, I believe it was just from using a search engine. I have never used any program beside an internet browser to download music.
If you dont pirate music what are your reasons?

Around 10. If mass buying illegal copies of CDs in China counts then maybe 30? Mainly pop songs though.
How often did you go to concerts?

As of late, maybe 2-3.
How many albums or songs are you buying, and if so why do you choose to buy them when you can simply download them for free?
I don't buy songs/albums.

Hm, around 20? Genres maybe 5-6?
How often do you go to concerts?

Would you say you listen to music more now than you did before illegal downloads?
Yeah, but back then I never had a portable way to listen to digital music files (MP3 player).
How acceptable is piracy to you?
It's a generally accepted action, although I'm positive most people acknowledge that pirating music is wrong since we are still stealing property.
Why do you believe piracy is not seen as stealing by many people?
I believe people recognize that this is stealing. Downloading music has become such a social norm that the action seems all right because everybody else does it. The additional fact that the chances of any repercussions are so slight that downloading music has likely become the fastest and cheapest way to obtain desirable music.
Do you think piracy has, in anyway, changed the music industry for the better?
The internet's capacity to spread almost anything is amazing. Artists' music is more accessible than it has ever been so in a way, piracy has expanded the target market but whether this increases the amount of sales remains to be seen.
