Blue, not sure as I stopped playing it long ago. Yellow, plays but unsaveable. Never beat it cause it kept breaking. :[ Gold, battery died and can't save anymore. Sapphire, battery "ran dry" a while ago but still saves, just got bored of it.
All of them but Gold were 2nd-hand buys so I can't give for sure dates but I got Gold not too long after it came out.
Semi related note I can't /find/ my games anymore, thanks for reminding me to look for them. >__o
