I'm not sure why we don't just put everyone into the post-bac. stage and just skip the whole undergraduate nonsense. Medical school trains doctors. Journalism school trains journalists. Acting schools train actors. Why do you even need the first 4 years? Tack on a semester or two to the graduate curriculum for what you REALLY need from undergraduate and you're good to go.
What do you REALLY need to get in medical school anyway? A year and a half of Biology, 2 years of Chemistry, a year of Physics, and maybe a semester of Math (minimums). You could easily fit that in a year. College is supposed to be challenging anyway.
