Silly analogy for a silly situation. They're both a lapse in common sense. She's not in her 70's or something, and she's well off enough to have an iPhone, and connects to the internet actively enough for facebooking. She has reason to not know the dangers of the internet.
Her pictures are like the cat.
The microwave is like the internet.
She loves her cat, and believes it's safe, because what could be bad with the microwave? Whoops. Guess she should have learned more about the microwave before trusting her precious kitten to be safe.
