I always thought that Laguna was Squall's dad or something. I think I'm gonna find out soon when I get further into the story, at the 2nd disc, it just seems to make more sense to me this way. Also, that ending.. was pretty well done, considering that it's a PS1 game. I enjoyed Legend of Dragoon, and even LoD's ending wasn't nearly as good in terms on quality as FF8's. WOW.
