I have to agree that the damage has no mastery as well. I hit double digit numbers on stormbreakers sometimes. It probably counts for defense of the monster too, but it's probably too uneven a range of numbers to come to that conclusion.
If it is 200% of your damage range though, LF> 10k hit with energy charge.
