It's really hard to maintain invincibility while on the body. I tried it and i maintained for like 20-40 seconds then I would get hit eventually. I don't know how you buccaneers do it, I think its just better damage wise to just stay out of the body then to dance on it since I have to use my weaker attacks to keep invincibility.
It's definitely not impossible to stay invincible with screw punch > dragon strike > barrage.
