As topic.

Vipers usually hunt bosses like manon, griffery, papu etc. using *csb>du>barrage>repeat* (i refer this as dance), am wondering whether this can be done in zak body1-3 to avoid getting hit and stun. Anyone tried before?

I don't think any class realistically does this [at zak]. The closest one i know of are warriors who use rush to bypass the pillars. Maybe a skill vipers have works similarily?

the moment you use DU you would get hit... no invincibility frames. Subbing Dragon Strike in would work, but havent seen anyone risk it with any regularity. I have seen some friends of mine go through body that way, and really kind of want to get good at this so i could go through golems and get key at GPQ.

Yah I do it every zak run (except I use dragon strike after screw punch). Saves pots and looks cool. Did it on HT's legs when HB ran out because the DK died. I couldn't take a hit from stomp at the time so I woulda been killed by stomp once HB ran out.

I thought Dragon Strike was slower than Double Upper. O_o Neither have invulnerability frames, so how does that happen? O_o

There are frames that shield you for a split second when you use CSB, so i'm guessing that if you use any attack in that short time, you get frames for that attack.

don't you remember the buccaneer KMST update video? Where he spammed corkscrew followed by d strike? It's the same thing except you use barrage after d strike instead of another corkscrew.

Here's my first control video. Go to the manon part and watch that. It's the same thing except I use dragon strike instead of double upper.

I do it every time I go to Zakum.
Though I just do the CSB>DU>Barrage combo.

The Dragon Strike-Barrage one sounds pretty good, I'll have to try it next time. =o

Oh, and CSB doesn't grant invincibility frames for any following attack, it has its own.
I'm guessing it's about 1.5 seconds (same as charge time) of invincibility after using it, which is more than enough time to pull out another attack like DU or DS.

More examples :o
(CSB -> DU -> Barrage)

And as of now (except for kms?), dragon strike is too slow to chain after CSB for full godmode o_o

It is possible I think. He was screw punching the golems in gpq and got past all of them, so why would zak be any different?

oh i can chain csb then ds then csb again without getting hit at all. Learnt a trick from a someone:

Right after you press csb, immediately hold down ds button, once ds animation comes out, hold down csb button, after ds is finishing, either when you see the charge up bar appears or the damages on the mobs appears, u release csb, you will not get hit at all. As after the 2nd csb, you cant ds again due to the delay of ds, thus, you either ssk (yes i still use ssk so that i can charge up super fast), or use EB. Thereafter you can repeat csb>ds>csb>ssk/eb. I used this method and never really got hit by mobs, unless i messed up the timings for csb>ds.

So by dancing in zak body, we can avoid apocalyse (1,1) too?

Well, if you mess up once you're pretty much stuck dead.

But it gives an awesome thrill, like how BMs and NLs kite around stuff like Bigfoot or a Priest/Bishop training without Magic Guard. Redface

I do it at horntail legs, and zak body. It's easy but gotta be careful not to keep corkscrew pressed too long or you take a hit.

Any Viper tried dancing in zak body? - Mark - 2009-03-27

I do it at Zak all the time.

Any Viper tried dancing in zak body? - ItachiPower - 2009-03-27

What's csb?

Any Viper tried dancing in zak body? - Mark - 2009-03-27

Corkscrew Blow.

What's so thrilling about training without Magic Guard? You don't die in one hit.

relying on heal to recover your HP is much more dangerous than relying on potions, you can't heal immediatly after you do another skill. It's more limited as to when you can use it and, to train without MG, requires you to be able to use shining ray between hits and heals.

You can't heal when climbing. You can't heal when jumping. You can't chain a Heal while another skill is still animating. You have to stand still for the Heal animation to finish before you can move. Hence, it is very dangerous to rely on Heal.
