Yu-Gi-Oh thread
Unleashing Wrote:^Naturia

Not that i want to hear about it.
But if anybody does.

I was going to do naturia, but nordics are a bit more competitive and interesting. :p

I'll be starting it off tomorrow at around noon with aliens i guess.
Unless people post an A archtype they'd rather hear about.

The formatting ends up messing up a bit, but it's done and I'm content.

Yay.
I still think it looks like crap, but okay.

Just had a crazy duel against Dark Worlds with my plants.

There was a ruling mistake at the start of the duel, at least I think it was. I'm not sure how it's supposed to resolve, so I didn't try to give my input. The chat said it would work the way it did...but I'm not so sure. If it had gone through, I would have lost.
I might upload, but disable comments because I don't want to have issues.

I love Steelswarm. Very fun gimmick archtype.

What was the chain?

yugioh's rulings are WAY too complicated and elaborate, so it's prone to happen, but yea, post the chain and we'll figure it out, or do a post in yugiohwikia.

Anyone have tips for one of those decks centered around Red-Eyes Darkness Metal's effect/ Revival Lords/Dragon Lords?

Here's something interesting I just read:
From http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Discard
Quote:Discarding for cards like "Dark Core" or "Lightning Vortex" is considered a Cost. As such, "Dark World" monsters would not get their Special Summon effect.
I never knew that was the way it worked, and I've seen people using this technique before, so I guess it's not well known. By the way, anyone wanna duel?

Yep, the reason it works this way is because Dark World monsters have the extra condition, "by a card effect," in the activation of their effect. A cost isn't an effect, which is why they don't benefit from discarding costs. On the other hand, the Fabled archetype runs on the same exact mechanic, except they don't have the "by a card effect" condition which is why they do benefit from discarding costs.
