A few Quick questions on Familiars
#1
1. Many people use the Big Spider Fami for the drop boost. What is its Multiple, (1.1x, 1.2x, 1.5x, etc) and does it stack with other stuff (Family, Card, egg, etc)

2. Approximately how long does a 3 orb fami last? Does the CCing glich still work?

3. Are their any good Famis aside from Mr. Allie for HP/MP, and Spider for drop

Thanks so any1 who answers any/all of these questions

1. Doesn't stack with buffs that go in your Use tab. Does stack with events and CS drop boosters.
2. Depends on how rapidly/often that familiar attacks the monsters you encounter. CCing still resets active familiars to full health, if that's what you mean.
3. I believe Mutant Snail is the HP/MP familiar of choice for higher leveled people, since it heals the entire party.

iirc Big Spider/Mutant Pig familiars are 1.4x drop, but that's just from memory. Castellan Toad is 2x drop, but gl getting it ^_^

Mutant Snail for party HP/MP is the best if you're high enough level.

Big Spider familiar is 1.6x drop. It should stack with 1.2x family drop if the familiar icon doesn't override it during refresh. It stacks with card, and doesn't stack with egg.

You can cc or go into CS to reset it unless you're at a boss map or so.

Mutant Snail familiar as above have mentioned.

The only better familiar for increased drop rate is the "Wolf Underling" familiar from an Aran quest. The familiar gives 2.0x drop rate.

All those familiars are 1.6x drop. The only 2x item drop familiar is Wolf Underling. I have one from booster packs, dunno if it actually drops from the quest monster, so far I haven't heard of anyone who has found it. I've done about half an hour on 2x just to check it out, I believe someone here on southperry has done a few hours on 8x with no results.

You can tell the rate at which a familiar drops by the description of its buff, which you can find here.

cool, thanks for the list

and one more question. According to ur list, Big Spider and Ribbion Pig share the same drop advantage. Since the Pig attacks stronger (since its higher lvl) why isnt it the prefered fami? (And is it even possible to get the Big Spider fami Post-Alien NLC?)

The big spider is not from NLC, it's a monster in Edelstein. Mutated Ribbon Pigs are a higher level, so you won't be able to use them until you're above its level, and it's much rarer to find than a spider. That's why people use spiders over pigs, they're more common and you can use them before 160 something.

for expeditions though, it would be castle golems* they heal HP/MP to everyone in the map

I think snails are are pretty useful for potion CD bosses since they can heal party members outside of the map they're in.

if you're soloing, yes, but if you're in a huge exped of 12 or so, castle golems heal more people, which is what i was aiming for.

int he end they're both greatly useful

HP/MP familiars are a pot CD map's worst nightmare, since they count as pots.
Also if it heals you when the CD is off, the CD starts the next time you use a pot, making it even more deadly.
Edit: anything that buffs you as a familiar is considered a pot, and goes by the above rule as well.
Edit: also if it buffs/heals when you're on CD, the interval for the buff/heal resets.

If you're referring to the person who didnt get it on 8x, Sephie; messed up and completed the quest on accident.

Yeah, I remember. I wasn't actually looking for an answer, my post was a statement.

I think I'll try my hand at it before the Halloween 2x events end. I'd hope other people might wanna try hunting as well, if they can, it'd be nice to see some confirmation on whether or not we can get them outside of booster packs.
