Evans and e-wands?
#1
I am planning on making a lukless evan using an E-wand but I am afraid that using an e-wand will incur attack penalites like they do on Bishops.

So:

1) How do e-wand penalties work, exactly?

and

2) Is there any way to confirm that Evans can use e-wands without penalties?

It's very simple really. 25% boost for the main element, 10% for the secondary and a penalty for every other element (think its 25 or 50% less damage), hence why bishops get crippled no matter what kind of staff/wand they go with. An Evan should probably go with a fire wand, but that means the poison aspect of it is useless and that every ice/lightning spell you got will be weak. So yea, there's nothing that punish you for being a certain class, it just works directly on the elemental level.

Well we don't have E-Wands in kMS,
but I'd have to suggest a Fire one. Most of the 4th job Aran skills that you'll use will be Fire based. Though, at 160 the dark fog thing will be a little annoying to mess with.

Ewand3 will also be good for short term usage, since Ice Breath will be your main training skill until level 90 at least.

Otherwise, EWand1 and 5 are the best longterm investments since Blaze, Earthquake, and Flame Wheel are all fire element.
