Not sure if anyone else here plays it. I've been on my first playthrough with this game for quite some time now. I got stumped this part
As you can see, I have no more troops left for battle, because they've attacked me so much that my commanders are all busy in battles. But apparently I read that if I just hold em off long enough they'll stop raping me.
This is currently what I'm up to
So far, holding them off seems easier than I thought. Before they raped me by attacking me 4 times in the same turn, but now it seems that's dyed down and they're attacking normal.
Also, lol

I was considering trying it out, but the plot sounds kind of... stupid. Because that is why we all play eroge for.

Plot is kinda stupid to tell you the truth. But the characters and scenes are funny, and the gameplay is addicting. I play it for the gameplay and comedy, bets parts in my opinion. Might wanna pick it up just to check it out a bit. If it's not your type of game then just put it down.
I wasn't going to play it either, but since I always saw threads on it I decided to give it a shot to see what everyone is making a big deal out of.

I have a few games I want to get through first still, and even then, I'd rather have something about more school life/slice of life/drama.

Slice of Life, eh? I have a translated Clannad on here, and I still have yet to touch it. -sigh- I still need to get the translated version of AIR.

I've had Clannad for over a year and a half on my computer and have only touched it once.

Not your thing? Or have you already spoiled yourself with the anime and lost motivation to play through it?

Some of both, mostly the latter. Visual novels don't keep my attention, probably because I have a hard time getting into them.

Ah, I know someone like that. She enjoys visual novels, but just has a hard time getting into them. Once she gets past the intro and into the meat of the story she gets interested. She just finds it kind of a chore to get into that part. That, and she's intimidated when she reads stuff online saying a certain VN has X amount of play time just to get one ending.
That's why I usually don't read the average complete time of VNs before getting into them. If I do then i may have a hard time starting them out as well.

I honestly forgot I had this on my computer. Now that you've reminded me I think I'll try it out since I am almost finished with my playthrough of another game.
Maybe I'll be able to sit through the story.

Anyways, any recommendations for me then? Not Clannad.

What kinda stuff are you into?
If you're into something that's a bit unique and more story driven, you can go for Sekien no Inganock.
Unique art style too, that's an actual image from it.
Or if you want school/Slice of Life/drama stuff, have you tried Yume Miru Kusuri? Pretty short, but I liked it.
By the way, Rance is more RPG than it is VN.

Finishing Mizuki Arc as we speak. Aeka is far superior. Will do Nekoko tomorrow.

I personally liked Aeka and Nekoko's routes better than Mizuki. Dunno, Mizuki's just seemed a bit lacking compared to the other two.
