'Visual Novel' games for consoles in NA?

I was curious to see what other gamers and anime-watchers thinks about this, but I was looking up a bunch of anime-based games that were Visual Novels. I looked up Visual Novels especially for the PSP system, found a bunch, but sadly only in Japanese-language. There aren't any NA releases, right? I checked multiple websites, including but not limited to:

-Wikipedia
-Gamespot
-IGN
-GameFAQs

But to no avail, could not find any Visual Novels (in English) for the PSP. Does anybody know if they will ever import Visual Novels? I'd like to try out some of those games, looks fun.

Also, no, I'm not interested in the Hentai ones. <_<

Save yourself some money and looks for translation patches and iso's. There are some online stores that do import visual novels but why would you want to do that?

Yeah, there are not. A couple fanmade translations, but no more. Mai-Hime was released in English IIRC, but yeah, a complicated request you've got there. Specially for the PSP.

Lawyer games dont appeal to many people, but phoenix wright plays nothing like you'd think a "Lawyer game" would, seriously give it a try, youll be pleasantly suprised.

Phoenix Wright, if needed to be described in one word... magnificent.

I am telling you right now that PW is excellent and you will most likely enjoy it.

As far as PSP VNs, Disgaea is getting one, and because it's Disgaea we actually have a good chance of getting it released in the US.

Of course, that's a year or two off.

Ok, I'll give PW a try. What console is it for? PSP? DS? If it's DS, I'll just emu it, and if it's PSP, I'll buy it, lol.
