Keyboard malfuncions

Everytime i play maple for a while, specially on my gunslinger, my keyboard starts malfunctioning.
It's like all my buttons are given some other function. For example, if i press escape to close my item menu, it minimizes maple as if i were pressing alt+tab.
I can use all the functions and skills i have put on letters, but when i press one to type a message, none of the buttons work.

It seems to occur more often on my slinger, which has a lot of attack functions on alt, ctr and shift. Maybe that has something to do with it. If anyone is able to give a sollution to this i'd be very pleased =O

[COLOR="Magenta"]Yeah, I have the exact same issue. It's really annoying when you're leading APQ and all of a sudden you can't talk anymore ._.
What I do to (temporarily) fix it: I alt tab out of Maple, log off the current user and log in on another one. Then switch users again, alt tab back to Maple and the keys are back to normal o.o

I've been having the same problem as well. It's VERY frustrating!.. I press the "right" key i go left & vice versa. I press my gene key & I just swat at the monster.. like wtp.. it's the patch fault. FFS

You're problem is different from mine. My arrow buttons have never stopped working. All buttons just keep working normal but i can't chat and enter makes me change from windowed to normal and esc works like alt+tab.
Besides, my problem has been there ever since i made my pirate and even before that, on my shadower. I saw on basil that there was a thread on the same problem. The person who made the thread said he usually just pressed alt+ctrl+enter+shift on both sides of the keyboard which usually made it go away. So it's probebly some button combo that activates and deactives it, all we have to do now is find out which
anyone able to help with that?

Mine have given me some key problems too, the ones I've noticed are
- Start windows Calculator (usually from arrow+F) - this minimizes MS.
- Start a new web browser window (I don't know when this happens, I just leave MS and find 2-3 new empty tabs)

I can't figure out which key sequence gets it going but it happens maybe 2-3 times per hour if I'm looting (F is loot, if I don't loot it goes away) and it's kinda annoying.



Do you have anything mapped to Alt? sometimes if you tab between programs unexpectedly with Alt held down, it'll get stuck. I avoid having anything on Alt in Maple for that reason... Alt+Enter is the window mode shortcut.

Yeah, alt is my jump key. But this could very likely be the problem, because alt+esc works like alt+tab, alt+enter is windowed mode and in windows if you hold the alt key, like in word and such, and press a key, you get functions in stead of letters =O

This problem started ever since hackshield was used instead of gameguard. Maple now sometimes get confused on which key were held down and remains held down. It happen to me with ALT/CTRL/arrows keys. To fix it is just simply hold both (ALT or CTRL) down for a few seconds, for arrows key "locked", hold the locked arrow and the opposite direction arrow down for a few seconds. Also learn to climb on to a rope or go some where safe before chatting, as when the ALT is locked it will switch to window/max mode and causes lag, I die a few time becaused of that. Hope that helps and hope Nexon fix it soon!

I've had the same problem, with Windows calculator starting (seemingly at random) or an arrow key getting stuck down. I never had this happen with GameGuard. I can't figure out what triggers the calculator thing, and I have tried. I have nothing mapped to Alt, so I don't have trouble with it getting stuck down, but the arrow thing is annoying.

For me, the fix is to flail around and press all the arrow keys a lot. Whatever was stuck then gets un-stuck. It doesn't, however, fix my death if a sudden walk to the right caused me to hug Zakum or similar stupidity.

It basically lets you input multi-key commands 1 key at a time
For example, instead of control+alt+delete, you can do control, let go, then alt, let go, then delete. Somehow your alt/control/arrow key is getting stickied.

Couldn't say where the arrow key reversal came from, but an arrow key getting stickied can explain forced walking to the right.[/COLOR]
