Saddly the only game to display some of the potential of the WiiU was ZombiU, and it wasn't even showed as much as The last of Us or even any of the other games from Ubisoft.

If the WiiU wanna success, it needs more games like that. Considering that Mario, Zelda and Metroid are always givens, Nintendo has to prove that there is more to look forward in their console than Mario, social or fitness games. Imo, Nintendo chose the wrong games to show (except pikmin)

The Tablet controller is making me nervous as well. I huge turnoff for the Wii was that basically any game seemingly worth playing forced you to use their motion control gimmick, and now we have yet another gimmick that will likely be forced on you for most of the Wii U's releases. I don't like it, honestly, and I would appreciate it if Nintendo would just go back to standard controllers and just stay there. Gimmicks like these only work with a small minority of games; it might as well not even exist. As years go by more and more gimmicks are being used and I find myself unable to really enjoy any of the games. I wonder how expensive the tab-troller alone is going to be.

Nintenndo has never fought against its competitors in the graphics field, but now more than ever they can't fight in that terrain (Microsoft and Sony got a huge advantage in both software and hardware areas). So if Nintendo wants to have any chance selling its consoles in today's market they gotta innovate and be original. The tablet controller, if used right, can be a great tool to enhance the gameplay and not the gameplay itself. I really think a great example of that was ZombiU. I just hope they put much more work into the game than they put on the name...

ZombiU was really good at showing how to use the new controller to have a different gaming experience that doesn't involve making weird movements with a stick. The new Batman seemed awkward though.

Dishonoring or disrespecting was not my intention, nor was I the author of these. I found the text based one funny because of the screen cap and his expression (of course), the second one was funny for obvious reasons.

Ever since Stephen left, Kotaku changed and became ultimately crap full of reposted blog content and stuff that can be found elsewhere just for ad money. Doesn't kill me, it just bugs me slightly. Most of the things that were posted on Kotaku can be found here or in the video.

Holy crap, that Final Fantasy tech demo, "Agni's Philosophy", looked amazing. Didn't even think it was Square Enix till the girl removed her hood and we saw her hair.
