Borderlands 2

Zelkova Wrote:As long as I can use my OP Revolvers, I am fine.

God I loved corrosive revolvers in the first game. Jakob revolvers were amazing too.

<3 the 2-shot (highest base damage) body variant of the Defiler - with Siren's Phoenix at level 5, the small clip size isn't always a huge issue, esp not with the right class mods. I use a Plaguebearer mod and have max Spark, though, so my corrosive damage and proc chance is through the roof. Been using the Crux (Plague, iirc - the name of the gun is glitched and shows up as Crux) shotgun (high corrosive proc), a Hellfire with the combat rifle-esque body (high accuracy/zoom/clip size), and then whatever the hell is convenient as a last weapon.

Mordecai was my first, and is still my favorite. I love gunslinging, and spraying bullets from a double thanatos like they're going out of style.

I play as Mordecai as well, however I rarely use his hawk <<.

I love his multipliers for sniper rifles!

I used a Hellfire submachine gun and Volcanic sniper rifle like crazy for both my Lilith and Mordecai. I enjoyed my Sniper Rifles, Revolvers, Repeaters, and SMGs, and didn't really use much else. I had the odd Assault Rifle and Shotgun, but they always felt underpowered, even when using Roland or Brick. Given that an SMG has faster reload, rate of fire, similar damage, I don't think there was much reason to use Assault Rifles or Machine Guns.

The only Pearlescent I really liked was Tsunami. I always found it difficult to get a good gun with Electric proc except for an Orion's, but that's just a waste of Sniper ammo when it shoots as fast as an SMG.

The steamworks integration has been known for a while. They even patched it into the first game.

I'm still surprised people didn't believe this would happen.

[COLOR="#cc8899"]I finally got a peach! Beenn soloing Crawmerax a bit, he's really fun as Siren (and likely significantly harder on anyone else. I don't use the corner glitch - I primarily use a Skullmasher and snipe from behind the pillars until he aggros to me, then phasewalk away and repeat.

And I hope Pearlescent rarity or some equivalent is available through the entire game this time - getting one is a great feeling, even if you don't use it. This was from my first ever Crawmerax run:

So Gearbox just announced the 5th class for Borderlands 2

Quote:The Mechromancer is the fifth playable class in Borderlands 2. First revealed at PAX East 2012, the class will be added as post-release Downloadable Content 60-90 days after the Borderlands 2 release. There will be no charge for those that pre-ordered Borderlands 2 but will cost a small fee for those that don't. She is able to command mechs, including the D374-TP (Deathtrap).

The new character customization sounds pretty cool too.

Quote:Randy Pitchford explained that, instead of designing a character at the beginning of the game, players will unlock new clothing and face options as they play. Players will get new design options as they complete missions and challenges or level up. Pitchford added that players who've completed the original Borderlands will unlock a special face and skin option.

Also...

Quote:In addition, the game will receive a collector's edition with packaging made to look like a loot box. The collector's edition will include a Marcus bobblehead and be available for $149.99

150 Bucks for that?! Now, I'm a sucker for the "Little" / "Extra" Things, but that's a bit rich for me.

150 is a bit much for me too. I wish I knew how big the loot chest was though. If it was like..shoebox size or more I would feel more inclined.

 Spoiler

Still haven't decided if I want to get that edition or not... I am a sucker for collector's stuff, and especially for games that I have great love for, but I'm still a bit weary of slapping down 150 bucks for it...

There is also a $100 option that has the bobblehead and no chest.
