Then it might have just been bad english (not really but not much people use phantom), you see his name starts with BR, thats something some brazilians do and ghost in portuguese is fantasma, so he might have said it because you look like a ghost.

Speaking of pancakes, I usually like them, but if anyone has ever had Bob Evans' cinnamon cream stuffed pancake they know it is the best goddamn pancake on the entire planet. If you haven't had it, I suggest you travel to an area/state/country that has it just to try that thing. It's the only time I've ever forced myself to eat until I vomited AND THEN KEPT EATING.

I'm just porting my own stereotypes (hispanic/venezuelan, just in case) on to a brazilian since we're kind of the same (mostly language wise) and I'm pretty sure its easier to jump from fantasma to phantom than to ghost, just like I've seen several times people use an english word just because it sounds like something in spanish when its actually something totally different from what they think it means (if I'm not wrong theres even a name for that type of words).
