High fantasy is a lot more political in natural, usually. Think A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth, et cetera. It's also usually in a universe that is governed by drastically different physical laws than ours; not just "they can use magic".
