To Return, Or Not To Return...
#1
That is the question.

Back when I was hacked in Maple, about 2 weeks afterwards, I submitted a few tickets to Nexon, one of which was to get compensation for the hacking, and another was to get the email changed that was attached to the account.

I got a reply on both, with 5k NX as "temporary" compensation for the hacking (...) and the possibility to change my email by sending them some information and a copy of my ID.

SO! Do I return to letting maple help me pass the time, or do I move to greener (or browner) pastures?

If you got TV shows backlogged as well, sure why not. You can always do what I did: watch shows when grinding. Got soooo many series done this way. Alternatively, podcasts + Maple = win multi-tasking as well.

Is not worth it to return to maple, especially with only 10k nx from "compensation". In the end you would end up spending a lot more if you are not careful and with all the hacking and pomegranate...

Thats another point. When they hacked me, they took literally everything they could move off my character. My stuff wasnt insanely godly, but it was definitely above average for what they were. If I return, I would most likely have nothing, nothing at all, and have to work from the ground up.

Thats why I ask, if your going to spend time and money (a lot of both) on making over average gear your gonna regret it if you get hacked again, since I came back about 2 years ago I never intended to get good equips but ended with decent ones (well at least they're better than clean ones Tongue), so just playing the game will eventually upgrade your gear.

I haven't played in four to five years. It was a good choice. Investing time in a game with poor security and an inability to properly reimburse for such incidences is a bad investment. If the game is just something you enjoy doing while knowing you could be deleted and forced to work your way from Level 1 all over again, then there really isn't anything to hold you back. Everything else is more or less in between these two extremes of objectivity and sentimentality.
