@LSJ: MineCon + the update are due for arrival on the 18th.

does anyone want to collaborate to rebuild the NLC haunted house? i was originally going to do this alone but i realized that it would take up waaaay too much of my free time. i was planning on it being a fairly accurate reconstruction with upside down rooms, obscure teleport locations, and all that stuff, and i'm not all that good with redstone either. i have the idea in my head, it would just take a long time to carry out and work out all the mishaps.

hmm sounds like an interesting build! I may be able to help by more than just building. Perhaps I could provide some blocks...maybe...

well i guess i could describe the hard parts in particular:

- a piston trapdoor system that opens and closes itself automatically for rooms that don't actually go anywhere
- a waterway system for transport between maps in the actual haunted house that in reality are on opposite ends of the house
- keeping all the redstone wiring hidden and compact
- the pumpkin vault
- keeping the house as small as possible

Just asking, how long will it take for the servers to update once the update itself is released? I'd like to join you all and all for the initial expeditions, but Skyward sword comes out not long after.

Also, already made a couple of the things I mentioned before out of boredom of placing smooth-stone after smooth-stone on my main castle. Got the basics of all the towers up now, but obviously still more shelling to do. Also started the foundations of the massive basic house not far beyond the second village I made the gravel path to a while ago (sorry for not asking permission goof). I chose that direction since I don't think that anyone had explored out there, and that it might be ideal to work with when hunting new biomes. There's always around my place too, but I get the feeling I accidentally expanded the map around there quite a bit. Although I've started the foundation over there, to be honest, I don't think I'll have the time from here on out for massive projects, so if someone else is interested in a roughly 128x128 space leveled down to 8, let me know what you'd like to do with it.

Can we take a section of the map, block it off and use it as a war field?

Its pvp even allowed in the first place on Zelkova server?

Pvp is allowed, I just dont want to hear any crying when someone steals your gear.

Done as much as I can in preparation of the update and leaving the rest as is. Lake surroundings 100% complete, so there's nothing stopping people from moving in around the area if interested.

Once the update swings around (when is that exactly seeing as Notch isn't located nearby?), I'll be in the initial village waiting for anyone interested in a nether expedition to look for some ruins. We'll be going from a gate I've made a short distance away from my castle. As an added challenge, this particular gate is one-way. We'll have to either find our way back to the earlier gates, or travel far enough for a new gate to be established. After that, exploring the edges of the map for the new biomes (looking for a large mycellum area for the post-2000 CT dome). As far as the Ender goes, I think we might be screwed given our dungeon is already formed, but if needed, some admin magic can solve that problem. Of course, that assuming there's a proper way out in official release since we wouldn't want to lock our characters in there (didn't watch the so-called spoiler video).

It's really great, it even allows you to add a "hat" of some sort to your skin if you want.
