ShinkuDragon Wrote:afaik, jin has normal age, the dark lord gets replaced every generation. he could have helped build zakum, from what i remember, the evil tree possessed a rock nearby, so when created zakum was nothing more than a sculpture i guess.

In that case, though, Spiegelmann is unintentionally responsible. But I HIGHLY doubt he crafted the original. If what you say holds true, then him building a replica easily proves my theory, since Zakum in itself is stonework given life by the evil spirit - separate the spirit, and the vessel is inanimate and lifeless.

ShinkuDragon Wrote:if the photo was before VL became evil, then that was loooong ago, but not grendel-old i believe? dunno the cygnus timeline much

Cygnus is quite old, she just has eternal youth thanks to her being a Goddess and all. Mihaele and the other Knight Lords are most likely adults, but the chibi artwork belies their true age (Eckhart being the youngest, and I would THINK Mihaele being the oldest, given that of Cygnus' Knight Lords, he's the one she trusts most).

Spieg is currently in his late 50s, early 60s maybe? Yet that also raises the question of HOW his hair pigments retain their color. Technically speaking, Von Leon stopped aging when he swore his oath to the Black Wings (most likely Black Mage's doing, intentionally or not). So, in order to hide his shame, Spiegelmann decides to forget he ever knew Von Leon.

ShinkuDragon Wrote:horntail is weird shiz

Dragons are among the oldest beings in Maple World. They don't age that fast. In fact, Afrien died of unnatural causes, so it's most likely that after pacting with Freud, his lifespan may be chained to Freud's, or Freud may have gained more lifespan years due to gaining Afrien's life span.

Horntail is probably ages old. He's probably been alive when Athena Pierce (and possibly Mercedes) were still toddlers. So that means Spieg would've had to have been VERY brave to go near him, as it takes ordinary Maplers extreme strength to take him down normally (we have to be 120/140+ to even legitimately stand a chance against his true strength).

That's the issue here. Spiegelmann doesn't really look that brave, AT ALL.

TheThunderBandit Wrote:Confirming Spiegelmann for black mage. But for real, I think he could possibly be evil. Maybe not related to the black mage, but maybe he is a general, I dont think he is the black mage himself. Someone said if he was evil why would he make us stronger? Good thought but what if he is making us stronger to make is harder for himself. Useing us like pawns in his game. But maybe I am reading why to much into this!

No, I think you might be right. You know, when you click on him in the Monster Park waiting room, you can ask him what's Monster Park. The conversation eventually gets to a point where the player asks him "Is there another reason you made Monster Park?" and he answers with something on the lines of "No, why would there be! I just want peace to flourish in Maple World and people to have fun!". His answer, and the only fact that Nexon made you ask him that, makes me think that there might actually be a second reason. Something fishy, for sure. Maybe he wants to check our weak spots by watching us and tell the Black Mage so that he can strengthen himself?

All the hints make me think that. At this point, he might actually be evil.

Spiegelmann could just have a strange obsession with monsters. Might not necessarily involve the Black Mage.

Spieglemann is really old. Why his skin doesn't show the age? Lots of botox.

Looks can be deceiving.

And I'm willing to bet that what Wrighto said is true - it would explain the whole reason his events have to do largely with beating the crap out of monsters.
