Something tells me that photo with Von Leon could've been taken when the King was still sane. I mean, if it were his lion form, then yeah, we'd have something to worry about. But here, we have humanoid Von Leon, and Isa might've been snapping that photo or something. I think that Spieg's as old as the Black Mage, if not a bit younger. I'd place him around the same age as.... Nineheart or Athena, MAYBE Jin (Dark Lord), but he's younger than Black Mage for sure if Alcaster and Grendel are old coots.

The Horntail photo makes zero sense, but my theory on it is that he made a bet, lost, and as punishment had to try and get near Horntail without being eaten. Based on his still being alive, he probably made it out in one piece.

As for Zakum, this is easily explainable. Zakum is.... an Omni-Golem, shall we say, in that he's a stone construct with a spirit forced inside him. In other words, think of it like the stonework acting as a vessel for Zakum's spirit. In this case, ol' Spieg's alibi checks out, if my theory holds true.

afaik, jin has normal age, the dark lord gets replaced every generation. he could have helped build zakum, from what i remember, the evil tree possessed a rock nearby, so when created zakum was nothing more than a sculpture i guess.

I think that Spiegelmann is one of the Generals of Black Magician..

Highly doubt he is. Now that I think of it, I guess he can't even be related to the Black Mage, as he opened a Monster Park to make us experience "new adventures", therefore making us stronger. If he was evil in any way he would just avoid us getting stronger instead, or do other bad things, and, as of now, we don't have any proof of that.

In the completed quest tab, the comment of all three quests shows that there are still doubts about how he could get those pictures (= means that what he said is VERY unlikely to be true).

The player keeps asking "who is Spiegelmann", and the question is still unanswered. Doubt he's someone evil, but he might have somehow supported the real evil ones (maybe without knowing it..?).

Doubt he's one of his generals or even less the Black Magician himself in disguise.

Confirming Spiegelmann for black mage. But for real, I think he could possibly be evil. Maybe not related to the black mage, but maybe he is a general, I dont think he is the black mage himself. Someone said if he was evil why would he make us stronger? Good thought but what if he is making us stronger to make is harder for himself. Useing us like pawns in his game. But maybe I am reading why to much into this!

Spieglemann seems like he's not on either the side of the Heroes nor the Black Mage.
It seems like he's on a whole different side...
I feel like he manipulates both sides for his own goals, whatever they may be. He gives small hints here, or training there. He works to create the battles between both sides, distracting him from his true goals.
We're his pawns.
