Golden Riche Event?

So it says the Golden Riche event has started..

What am I missing? Talking to the NPC gives nothing.

You don't talk to Gold Richie to get rewards, you get 20 of each directional letter on the compass and then double click the compass. The compass will then become complete and can be double clicked again to warp you into a mini-dungeon with a bunch of golden pigs running around. Each pig is able to drop a golden egg, and those eggs can be double clicked to receive rewards; however, the Exp egg has to be given to Gold Richie to receive the random amount of experience the egg contains.

Strange, I remember the quest giving the compass to the player instead of it being a drop.

I don't play much so I guess your right.

Just a note for everyone, mobs drop the compass. You don't automatically gain one.

Guy believed it gave GM scrolls. I'd say not too trustworthy.

What happened to the chair event? That's how I got my moon & star.

The event sucks now, you rarely get eggs.
