Don't recommend anime here. You all watch garbage.

Sarah's not going to stick with anime. There's no achievements.

It's gotten to the point where I think of Cowboy Bebop not as a sci-fi but a Japanese take on American music that just happens to have animation in space. Even if you hate the show, I strongly encourage you to scrounge up all the music.

And I guess I'm too late since you already started, but Satoshi Kon or Miyazaki movies are probably the easiest means of dipping your feet in anime. They're movies, so they won't take much of your time, and most of them are crazy good. Tokyo Godfathers or Totoro are safe bets.

But think of all the collectibles! Soundtracks, OVAs, dolls for Khoi to play with...

It's a lot goofier than I expected.

I am having a difficult time imagining Greg or Mark enjoying this. Not to say that I hate it or anything, it's definitely better than I expected. Just based on their personalities.

I hear Grave of the Fireflies will make you cry but i haven't watched it yet. It's an hour and a half and you can find it on youtube.

"The girl who leapt through time" is also great.

Grave of the Fireflies is so sad 100% of the time that you don't actually cry, the climax of sadness is not that powerful if you are always close to rock bottom.

Perhaps I shall watch this thing you call 'anime' too... I've seen Ghost in the Shell of course, but not much else.

It's largely because the music is fantastic. Really jazzy.

You have to finish it before you judge the rest. :/

if you don't like exagerations, why watch an anime with the word "cowboy" on the title? also, i think that line at the top "you all watch garbeage" can be gone now.

This may not be an angry dome thread but I still don't want your terrible advice.
