Naruto shippuden has a great storyline, deadmans wonderland is like xmen meets runningman, one piece story is really good as well.

I didn't like anime at all up until like 3 years ago, I went in with an open mind because my job was part time and I had nothing to do on my off days.

Oh and full metal alchemist is a must see. Really sarah unless you can get into an abstract thinking of "if the world was real", as in spot the references between ours and theirs, you really won't get into it.

Though I cant see why you're so apprehensive considering most MMORPG's, are just essentially playable anime's, even role playing games.

Well, reading her original post, she's just trying to watch a series so she can understand where a lot of the members from the site are coming from with all their anime discussions, because she mostly comes in and mocks it. To avoid doing this, she wants to try an anime out and I think Cowboy Bebop is a pretty solid choice. She's not doing it to waste time, and if someone wanted to watch anime to waste time, I would recommend something else than Shi'tpudden or One Piece.

You want Sarah to be interested, not wanna kill all Anime. Shippuden is nice for more tolerant anime fans, just not Sarah.

My limit is about 50 episodes, but it has to be recommended by everyone and their mother. I've watched maybe 3-4 animes that long. Otherwise it's normally 13 or 26.

From the top of my mind, GTO, Blood+ (not a favorite) and FMA: Brotherhood.

Unless it's REALLY good, same here. GTO and YuYu Hakusho are really the only ones I could do.

It's pretty great. I mean the whole idea of it is very real (of course not really real, but the feel of the anime) and any great character can make an anime amazing. Cowboy Bebop did that two times with every character being so amazing.

Considering I specifically said the only anime I'm willing to watch is Cowboy Bebop I'm not sure why people are suggesting other anime that I should watch. Especially the worst fucking garbage like NARUTO. Never. EVER.

Pilot episode is pilot. The music is awesome anyway, the story develops some more episodes in.
