Need Lisp book recommendation

So I used Lisp for an assignment I've just completed where we got the choice of using any language we wanted to. I decided to use Lisp even though I hardly knew it, as it seemed like a problem that was good for a language like Lisp.

I liked it so much that I'd actually like to learn it properly. As I learn better from reading books than online resources, I want to get a suitable book for learning Lisp that would also be a good general reference.

You guys are the geekiest community I know, soooo, any suggestions?

I suppose you're talking about Common Lisp here.

ANSI Common Lisp by Paul Graham is by far the best book about LISP for programmers who have programmed in another programming language before. It contains good examples which could've actually been used in real applications, as well as a reference to every single function, macro, variable and constant.
