Diseases people have that should be recognized by doctors.

Copied off a rant I wrote not long ago. 50% serious, 50% meant to be amusing. All based off personal experience. Enjoy! Or not.

Generic Black Music Syndrome - The strange, extreme adoration of "popular", radio-spammed "hit" hip-hop/R&B/Rap/whatever the hell it's called music. Songs tend to sound the same or be about mostly the same things, over and over again. Offending artists include Usher, Lil Wayne, Akon, David Guetta, Kanye, Jay-Z, that Kardinall guy, Drake, Flo-Rida, Jason Derulo, and another dozen or so that I can't remember. If clubs never existed, some of these buffoons wouldn't even have careers.

Weed Rage - The tendency to become extremely indignant upon hearing someone speak badly of precious chronic. Symptoms when triggered in those affected include irrationality, short tempers, being overly defensive, and strong desire to completely stop being friends with someone just because they don't like smoking up.

Relationship Tunnel Vision - Those affected with RTV, upon entering new relationships, experience inability or extreme difficulty when it comes to caring or maintaining other aspects of life that is not the aforementioned relationship - including friendships, family, work, and school. Additional symptoms vary, including the inevitable self-destruct or slow suffocation of the relationship between the affected and their boyfriend/girlfriend/whatever.

Foreveritis - People with Foreveritis are often found naively believing, or completely certain that some aspect of their life is going to last FOREVER.

"My *insert title of significant other here*" Rave Virus - Not to be confused with Relationship Tunnel Vision. Those infected with the "My *insert title of significant other here*" Rave Virus are often found nearly unable to have a conversation that isn't about their special someone. Will often try to center discussion around their boyfriend/girlfriend, so on and so forth. This malicious illness is far more likely to target females rather than males.

I agree on everything except the RTV. I would like to claim that those around a good couple have the common illness known as jealousy, be it because they miss their friend or just hate to see others happy. Hell, a good match between boy and girl is hard to break. She/he is your best friend, you share common interests and passions, and above all you can have sex in between doing stuff that you both find fun. Granted it can be balanced well with having other friends, anyone thinking that "bros before hoes" is a truth, they have clearly never had a good relationship that could last the first year of new and exciting. Piss on friends that cannot accept that your partner is important enough to not hang out at the pub every single day for.

I've been in a relationship for over a year now and it will always be ''bros before hoes''. It's meant to be that way.

I might be slightly biased after 8 years. But the only thing that could possibly come before my girl is my son. It's probably also an age thing. I was like that in my teens too.

Eh, I'm not a teen though, I'm 20, not fully an adult maybe. Anyway, yeah I get your point, and I kinda feel you, but friends and family come before anything. ANYTHING (not a son of your own though).

A mate is both friend and family.

Otherwise s/he's just a trick.

Fail one, I know.

Disagree with the first one. That's just believing that everyone's perspective of great music is the same, and sadly that is not the truth.

F3 a disease is something that disrupts homeostasis. So it's medical.

These are more of pshycological things.

The person I kind of used as a "model" for RTV ;

Quit his job to spend more time with his girlfriend
Is putting off college to spend more time with his girlfriend
My circle of friends have been best friends for ~6 years and we barely see him or hear from him anymore
Whenever we DO all hang out, she's with him 90% of the time. And they fight over something stupid like one not letting the other win in Mario Party.

I've seen to many people having a tunnel vision with music, "ONLY OLD MUSIC IS GOOD", "ONLY NEW MUSIC IS GOOD", "ONLY MY MUSIC IS GOOD", that kind of sickness should be cured.

that'd be nostalgia vision/ trend-setting syndrome. (names entirely made up of course.)
