EDIT: I moved out of that apartment 5 years ago after living there for 2 years. I had started to get depressed (I was too embarrassed about my living conditions to bring friends or ultimately girls home) and decided to turn my life around. I decided things would be different once I moved. I've been a responsible adult ever since, and I'm engaged to a compulsive neat freak today -- things are going great. having to make your own food is the worst and my roommates suck at putting stuff in the dishwasher so the sink is always full of crap and unusable.
