Your Favorite Decade

Alright, before I start, a little bit of back story here. The past few days I've felt extremely weird about how life has been going for me with work and such, and it has brought back memories of my campy, campy childhood in the 90s. Things felt so damn simple back then with the over-excessive amount of cheesy music videos, TV shows and cartoons on television. No matter what kind of shitty day you had at school or work, there was always something around that was just so bloody ridiculous or stupid like politics, music, or even religion that would put a smile on your face. Everything just seemed weird, excessive, ironic or a mixture of the three. I miss those days >.>

So I was wondering what your favorite decade is? You can state any decade you want by the way, doesn't matter if you were alive or not

I dunno, nearly every decade had something bad in it (at least in America).

I guess either the 1920s or the 1950s.

But then again, I love the technology in the 2000s...

The 90's, the years where Nicktoons and Cartoon Network had the best cartoons ever (very few of them are atcually good now :/), SNES, SEGA Genesis and N64 were the pomegranate and I was more carefree as a kid.

90s had better music, better cartoons, and was the all around cool kid of the decades.

Before all the whiny scene/emo kids/whatever they're calling themselves these days. Before Disney was nothing but bad sitcoms.

The 90s, totally. I love the 90s, the music, everything.

question i gotta ask you two then, if in casual conversation how would you say that? you can easily say nineties, eighties, etc, but how'd you say the period of 2000-2009?

In terms of music, the only period I'd dislike is the 00's.
Other than that, 90's in terms of cartoons, 10's in terms of technology (The future is the way to go), and probably the 17th century for exploring the world.
Though, I think the 00's and the 10's are the worst in terms of culture.

80s/early 90s. Rise of technology as we know it (mostly video games) and a very good era of music. Also, kids' shows back then were pretty awesome. The shows I watched growing up were a thousand times better than the crap whoever owns the networks put up these days.

I'll come back to this thread in 30 years Most of us here have the choice between the 90s and the 00s; not much of a choice here.

off-topic: I say "two-thousands"; double-os sounds corny, zeroes sounds weird and o-os sounds stupid.

I also loved most of the '00s. Like, 2001-2008 or so (hated 2000 specifically for personal reasons). Cartoons were still memorably awesome then and I had some great moments that I will never forget then. :B

The '90s when the internet was not Widespread and you had to RELY on your tv, handheld consoles, or BOOKS!

Oh and the TVs were bulky, don't forget!
