I'm not hearing any music playing froma burned CD

I was helping my mom burn some Chinese music for her, and I can't hear anything despite cranking up the volume. This is not on my computer; it plays fine on my computer, but I'm having trouble on playing it on a CD player/radio. I tried both .wma and .mp3 formats; neither work. As a side-note, the CD which I ripped the music from was also a burned CD. Any ideas?

Does the CD you ripped the music from play on a non-computer player? What kind of CD did you burn the new CD to? Some CD players cannot play CD-RWs.

The original CD I'm burning the music from is already a burned CD. I don't think it's a copyright infringement problem.

It's a CD-R, instead of a CD-RW. Lemme check if the original burned CD plays. Yeah the original burned one works, while the exact same 2 CDs I just burned has no sound.

You're burning MP3/WMA files to a CD? Or you're burning an audio CD? (Difference here is that an audio CD conforms to the Red Book/CD-DA standard.)

I picked the "burn an audio CD" option. Should I try simply burning a CD with .mp3 files then?
