Preparing for a HT run.

I hate to say this but... true and experienced Bishops DO NOT spam heal. It really irks me when I see a Bishop spamming heal. The only time you could be spamming heal is if you are in a party attacking the Tail or following Seduce.

At least one bishop in the seduce party should be spamming heal at all times, even when no one is seduced, so that the main seduce will get healed right after HB if dispelled, and in case the seduce symbol lags (as it often does). Seriously, spamming heal has been covered by my own MP regen since I was a priest, so why not? Especially at HT, when things happen fast and you might lag.

If you see black wyverns, at any time, stop what you're doing and spam magic guard until they're killed. They'll dispel your MG, and if you're not watching yourself that can get you killed right there. Luckily, in a place like HT, black wyverns stay around about as long as a fart in the wind, so this shouldn't be much of an issue for you. You won't let your party down by spamming MG during this period because the wyverns should all be killed in less than 10 seconds.

Awesome way to get the main seduce killed. Alternate between Heal and MG... Or better yet, learn to notice when you get dispelled and MG then... Papping a lot helps, since the head's dispel is similar to Pap's dispel.

Some groups will not allow Genesis, due to lag.

o.O If your computer can handle HT, it can surely handle Genesis. Most of HT's attacks are flashier than Gen...


Also, 4700 HP to take a tail hit as a bishop. You only need about 20k MP, too, not 30k or Infinity. Don't forget about Invincible.


Note that Zerking carries the risk that if you get mass seduced and your bishop is not spamming heal, you can be 1/1ed and hit within a few seconds, too fast for you to use Will and pot.


If you are the right side bishop, stay between the rocks and the rope. If you sit on the rocks, you can be KBed out past the rope at the wrong moment.

This is just my personal feeling, that's all. I feel a truly experienced Bishop doesn't have a need to spam heal. The main seduce shouldn't die after dispel anyway... at least I've never seen such a thing. And it's not even about saving the MP... I'm sure most people disagree but I just don't like seeing somebody spam heal the whole time. In my eyes, that's a sign of a lack of mastery in gameplay.

In the 15 person HT runs I've been attending, no Bishop spams heal. I've been Seduce Bishop before and I've gotten by without Heal spam.

Same for Zak, why on earth do so many Bishops spam heal when there's nothing to heal? Overall, it's silly and embarrassing to witness in all cases.

It's not just about healing and buffing, you need to be able to accommodate everybody in your party as well. If the DrK in your party says no heal, then what? And I always seem to be in a Zerking DrK's party... And when I am in the Seduce party, the other members besides Seduce Mule and myself are attackers. You need to ensure to buff the attackers (who may be attacking up top; no Mob Control btw although another Bishop may assist) while attending to the Seduce Mule.

Perhaps HornTail is done differently in other servers?

Other than this, Bishops do not require much skill and I love any opportunity to test my abilities as a Bishop.

When a shadower is used as main seduce, they may not have enough HP to take all of HT's attacks without HB, since their Meso Guard would have been dispelled as well, and they can't recast it if they're seduced. Therefore, they need to be healed right after HB is cast, or they risk dying in 1 hit.

I disagree that it's "lack of mastery in gameplay" to hold down a key when doing so provides the fastest possible access to a skill, when fractions of a second count in applying that skill.

For the record, I "grew into" bossing with very strong DrKs, and I am normally put into the Zerk party at Zak or CWKPQ, because I am perfectly capable of not pressing my heal button, thanks.

However, I'm not too proud to spam the one skill that I'm really there for. Heal is the main defense against Seduce, and I fail to see how spamming it does a lick of harm, or shows that I don't know my character. It shows more that I don't trust the lives of my party to the lags/delays associated with pressing a key once, or to my finger not pressing hard enough, or slipping, or whatever accident that may happen... Because, accidents do happen. :f6:

I would recommend 5000 hp and power elixirs if you want to survive tail, and poison is scary. I don't have anything else to really add lol.

A Bishop can't really get to 5k HP unless they have a lot of HP equips. Anyways, look at the date of the last post.

It was barely a month, not a big deal if the person was still looking for tips. and I can get to 5000 hp pretty easy, infact with my not that great equips is like 5300 and I live tail pretty easy.
150 wisdom staff, 25 hp scar helm, 20 hp glasses, 200 medal, 145 top, 300 pendant, 20 cape, 90 gloves, 75 earrings
all of that is cheap, and extremely easy to get

JMS does not have scarlion helms or MoNs. -325 HP. Not to mention you're 19x. He's 16x.

Disgregarding time, a Bishop's duty at HT is to keep people alive. Meaning they can have the crappiest magic ever provided they have the HP with HB to survive tail, as Lathan said. It's exactly how LOLFPs trained at Sharks if they didn't want to use MG; same concept.

He's the only Bishop in the group remaining. They kicked everyone else out. lmao So, Dennis is the only person that can be the Seduce Mule's HP potion while seduced. If the Seduce Mule is sent to the tail's side while it's alive, Dennis needs to know what to do in order to survive properly.

There is ONLY one Seduce Bishop in any squad. As long as you have 4.8k HP or something around there you'll be fine.
