Am I wrong?

Does having a baby arm (Think the guy from Scary Movie 2 with the small arm) classify you to be handicapped?

I always considered it to be one.

My reason for the question started with a conversation with a friend about another friend who had said "Baby Arm". I stated that people with a single short arm are handicapped, as they can't go about doing things such as drive stick shift, play video games, guitar, etc. just as a person with a single arm is unable to do these things.

She states that because his short arm was an accident caused by the Doctor after his birth, it doesn't count. Also, even if the Doctor hadn't caused it, its not a handicap either.

So now we are stuck at a stalemate, and both of us are too stubborn to think otherwise; Although I may have been blunt in making my point, I still it counts as one

So what does SP think?

Yep, that's a handicap. Handicaps are disabilities, they don't need to have a specific cause like birth to be considered a real disability they just have to put you at a disadvantage from "normal" people. They may be able to do everything you and I can do but that doesn't mean it's not technically a handicap.

If I cut off your arm would you not be handicapped? I mean, it was caused by me after birth so...

So if a guy gets his legs crushed and is wheelchair bound, by your friends terms he's not handicapped?
