Hp washing worth it??

So I'm planning to start HP wash my Aran...

But I'm not sure if it is worth it because it is very likely that Nexon will release a even more overpowered job in the future...So if I end up jumping on the bandwagon of making the newer more overpowered class all my money spend on HP on my Aran would be gone to waste...

And after you reach level 200 your char is pretty much useless (AFAIK most people quit/strip their level 200 char and fund new chars because there are no leveling potential in their char anymore)...and your HP washing money will go to waste anyways...

So is HP washing ever worth it?? Discuss

well, not many people reach level 200... And of the 15-20 level 200's i know of, none have stripped their characters to fund new ones. Many have second or third, or fifth characters, that they have funded simply by being able to earn money in game the way only high level characters can. Either by bossing, or when it was worth it selling leech. Now they can still farm PoTs and earn money that way. Many fully fund second or third characters by using these funds.

I know how you feel though, when i quit my NL for my bucc, my thought process was that, my NL had way too high of dex, and i would have to wash too much etc, etc, to make it worth it. Then at some point i realized if i had spent as much time leveling/washing my NL as i have my bucc, it'd be 18x at least with more then enough hp to HT. Maybe even PB. But now while starting my aran i dont worry about that, since i have things on my bucc i can earn money on, and have a bunch of int gear, I just realize that i will not spend much personal money on the game, just MTS for most of the washing.

Isn't there a 4th job skill that reduces damage by 20% for Arans?

Regardless though, I would still judge Arans to be behind the top ranged classes (BMs, Corsairs, and NLs) based off my observations. If that is the case, they really aren't that overpowered then.

When do Aran get 7-8k HP? (prereq for HT??)
160s? 170s? Won't be HTing before then anyway... :/

I see no reason for them to need to HP wash. Now having 18.5k(?) base to tank HT with is a bit different... :[


You shouldn't dictate what character you play based on which is 'the most powerful'. If it's fun it's fun if it's not it's not.... There will always be potential for more powerful classes. As new content is released, various classes at various levels will gain and lose various advantages. mages might train fast today, but if Nexon releases high HP (measurable in millions of HP) with similar HP:Exp ratios next month, 1v1 damagers such as Bowmasters will have a much easier time training than before, off of mobs with under 150k HP.

Wearing INT equips & washing is worth it for EVERY CLASS. For heros & arans, if you chose not to wash it out the extra MP is helpful to unlock higher healing MP potions to save you mesos / allow more uses of skills.

if you can afford it, its worth it. i'd only wash it if you're sure you would be sticking with this character so its not wasted though

200 combos to cast, it's not gonna be something you can rely on to have 100% of the time.

There's the party buff that can't be dispelled and the passive 15%. Do you think you will ever reach 170? If you do, then no. If you don't, then probably not.

isnt Combo Barrier just for physical damage too? Though touch seems to be the highest damage from everything can't preclude future bosses from being different.

And anyone leveling an Aran and planning on likely getting past 120, would do well to level with a little INT gear at least(like 20-40 at the minimum, you can get dep star, zhelm, the 5 int club from KFT quests with a 100%ed cape for 30, really shouldnt be too hard to get 40-50), even if you plan on never washing, plans can change, and it would nice to be able to be flexible like that, should plans/future bosses change what is necessary or not.

I know part of the reason im quitting my bucc is that, in order to keep washing, i will need an absurd amount of int gear (already have 14x i think) and dump points into MP every other level, just to wash as best I can. Looking back, i wish i had spent more effort to get decent int gear earlier on, so that i had the points to use now, even if at the time i figured i wouldnt need to wash for anything, i decided i wanted to wash a little, but not much. Then plans/priorities changed, and i ended up short on mp. Now i have nice int gear, and chastise myself some whenever i forget to put it on when leveling my aran. I never want to have to mp wash in any manner ever again. My lack of effort resulted in extra expenses in the future, though Aran's dont seem like they will have that problem, its always nice to be better safe then sorry.

For Warriors, yes. Everything else = waste of money. Sorry, it's the truth. I washed a crapload on my NL. Do I think it's worth it? . . . No.

I consider it needed for a class only if they will actually be getting that kind of damage. And warriors do. My god, how they do...

On my hero I just broke 15k HP @ lvl 132, Its more of a blood build at this point, but I plan to reset whenever there's a sale. But washing for warrior classes imo is well worth it. I'm not sure about aran's hp gain per point as you don't have improving hp gain. If its anything close to other warrior classes you should do it if you plan to play your character past 120.

Pros:
Increases Survivability - I haven't really purchased a safety charm in a while. I can enter oblivion maps without worrying about getting 2hko. I can also walk around crimsonwood forest without being instakilled by bigfoot.

Pot Reduction - If using percent based pots your can go well below 1hp/1meso ratio. I'm using ginger ales which heal ~11000hp/3700meso. This is ignoring the mp gain which is a nice bonus.

Bossing - You can do some bosses earlier (Latanica/HT comes to mind) Some bosses for certain classes require washing PB. (Not sure about arans, but archers for sure.)

Cons:

Lower MP - Dojo was an issue at times.

$$$$ - Its very expensive. As a class that gains the most hp using this method I gain an additional 250hp per level washing 5 times. Other classes only get a fraction of this. Without a sale thats $15.50/250hp. You also don't feel it unless you do it in large amounts.

Dam... 190int.. I cant imagine what that would take. I'm at 150int in equips atm, and I don't plan on getting anymore, it totals out at like 4 or 5bil.

Imo. unless you plan or want to PB on your aran I wouldnt worry about it. by the time your 160 you'll have enough for HT (you only need to be able to take 1hit, not 2 or 3). I'm washing my NL simply b/c I would like to PB eventually when they extend the time limit, and I want to be in the leg party for HT b/c its wayyy ezier than tail.

190 int, wtp? What is that, washing 5 points/level? I dont think anyone really needs to wash 5/level, and if they do, Aran's, unlike warriors, could MP wash.
