What did you accomplish this year?

We're fast approaching the end of 2009 and it's been a pretty big year for Maple. Cygnus Knights, Aran, Time Temple, Maker, Monster Book, Dojo and some neato GMS exclusives like CWKPQ and Episode 1 are just some of the things added to Global Maple Story this year, leaving a ton of room for advancements and achievements for anyone who played.


Obviously, my biggest and proudest achievement is my level 8 monster book. While my interest may have faded with time, I'm still very happy with the time I spent and progress I made in filling it. I don't think I ever dreamed I would see it nearly as full as it is now, and definitely not within only 8 months.

But beyond that, I managed to gain a solid 40 levels on my Arch Mage without really spending too much time training, and I got a Cygnus character up to 120 in only 8 days which is something I'm quite proud of.

I also participated in my first few Zakum runs this year and actually found myself to be a useful party member. I think something else that's a little silly but I'm proud of soloing multiple Raika with only chain lightning. Taking the bull by the horns, as it were.

So, what did you accomplish this year in maple?

This thread makes me depressed.

Got to 200, participated in Broa's first PB run. Got banned for 1 month, then 2 weeks, and another 2 months (starting tonight, TY Nexon! ). Made my 2nd 4th job character. Made alot of new friends. Thats about it.

+90 or so levels on my buccanneer, my highest level character so far.

Estimated +80-90 levels on my aran by the time december is done.

+120 levels on my Dawn warrior.

What else? ._.

Lets see.

Leveled my Marksman a total of 11 times. Advanced by Maruader to Bucc. Got to a level 94 Thunder Breaker (I'll finish it eventually...). Got an Outlaw to 70...

Can't think of anything else of great importance.

Oh, I made some good friends on maple too, if you count that.

Got a Night Lord, 11 levels on my Paladin o.O (probably 12 by the end of the year, though)

Finished up 800 quest medal relatively fast (1 month from 550 to 800)

I tried out, and ADORED, my first attacking class: A CORSAIR!

I recreated characters and only got one to third job.

I didn't accomplish anything this year come to think of it.

Quit.
Hell yeah.

... and trained an Aran to level 24. Yup.

Got the final 36 or so levels on the F/P ArchMage to reach 200.

Was the First F/P ArchMage in GMS to solo Zakum.

Made 18/26 earrings.

And of course, made and deepened many wonderful relationships with people met through the game.

I didn't think it was possible, but this thread made me feel like crap.

And got to Buccaneer earlier in the year. Semi-working on a 3rd job Aran now, while patiently awaiting skill changes in 2010.

Out leveled all my old friends that quit, and reached the one level they always wanted to reach. 120 :\

- Leveled F/P 16 times within a month's time during the Anniversary event. ATM, level 141 is the highest I have gone so far.

- Purchased my two elemental weapons. Both cost me 400m (probably much more now, given my Staff 1 is higher in value today)

- Made a DK, and leveled him well during the summer. But the big thing for my DK was that I got myself into HP washing (first time doing so). Result? A DK that can survive anywhere with the HP of a 14x+ unwashed DrK (High 15K HP with HB last time I checked). But I gotta give credit to a dear friend of mines who generously loaned me his INT equips so I could accomplish this.

- I did not sell my F/P equips to fund my DK. I used what I got, and acquired more equips along the way. I'm not one of those ones who would go all out for a perfect DK by buying godly equips early. I prefer to get my equips when I need it. While the costs have been a bit on the high side, the strategy was worth it. Now I have two fully operational characters ready to go whenever needed. =D

- And of course, I made new friends here in SP. Especially Kev (HunterDox), Sarah, and so forth.

• Made a Blaze Wizard which is now level 90 (shocking...I usually can never play a secondary character much)
  

I think that's all I can remember.

For levelling, I went from level 124 to 160 this year, although I've stopped because I'm busy with school, and now Arans (making two of them) and my Blaze Wizard (which I levelled to 90 so far).

Hmm, let's see.

No idea how many levels on Felix. Some. Dunno lol. Completed tons of quests as they came out. Collected a nice chunk of monster cards (still working on that...). MORE Paps, though I stopped doing those regularly quite a while ago already. Upgraded several of my equips, mostly thanks to Time Temple. Got a Dojo Black Belt within the week it was released.

Leveled my I/L Arch Mage to 130 (from early 12x). Leveled my 6x Assassin to an 88 Hermit thanks to Bosshunter PQ. Leveled my 2x mule (my original character) to 38 thanks to Witch Brews. It had been 2x since 2005! Felt awesome. haha Leveled a Dawn Warrior to 100 (still trying to make myself finish it, but distractions + boring). Got an Aran to 4x, which will be 70 before the year's end. Did some other various levels and characters that aren't important.

I guess that's about it.

Quitting this game, then unquitting.

My biggest accomplishment would be my Corsair. I started it last year when Pirates came out and now it's level 152 and I'm very happy with it. It's the first character besides my Bishop that I even bothered to get to 4th job. Trust me, those that know me will recall how many characters I've started and quit before level 60. I wanted to get it to 160 by the end of the year, but university has been in a pain in the ass so it doesn't look like that's happening, but no biggie. Hopefully I'll get my Aran to level 70 before January.

I also finally quit my Bishop for good. It was my first character but it's too mind-numbingly boring to continue training. I did have quite a few accomplishments on it this year though. I trained it from level 15x to 185, I passed Gen30 after failing it twice last year (bought all 3 of them too), and I had a 35x matk score at one point, which was enough to 100% OHKO SKeles before level 170.

For next year, I'd like to upgrade most of my Corsair's equipment, get a level 8 monster book, earn all the possible medals I can get, and train my Corsair to level 170 and hopefully pass MW30 by then. I'd also like to train a level 140-150 blessing mule for my Corsair, probably an Arch Mage.

Leveled 3 times this year and got a Wand 6... ._.
