Dusk Wrote:It's just a convenient upper limit. You're not "supposed" to be hitting 30k combos, either.

I don't think HP/MP should be adjustable stats at all. Make do with the HP you're given. It's enough.

That's quite an improper analogy and seems specifically targeted at me >>. HP increases as you level up and without washing most don't add into HP since it's ridiculously detrimental to your damage if you add in more than 100 points of your hp into AP. Though HP will continue to increase as you level, you'll be forced to stop at one point (lvl 200).

As for combos, it's just part of training. I keep doing what I do naturally and it just keeps going higher and higher. There's no forced stop. If I don't get to 30k at one point, I can just try again. The 30k cap for combos is fine. There's not much of a point past 200 for combos in the first place.

If the HP cap was 20k, then it'd be more sense since people are actually able to reach that if it were the max. But since they've set it to 30k, I'm wondering why they don't allow almost anyone's HP to come that close without investing tons of points into HP.

I think the best way to solve this problem is to implement a rebirth system after level 150 or something where you keep 50% of ur hp, and 25% of ur stats and 3 skills of choice from the previous job

rebirthed char start at level 0 and needs 5 times more exp to level per level after rebirth...that'll balance out

mage rebirthed heroes ftw lololol

or mass hp washed NL rebirth BM

I hope they chage some of the attack animations. The fact that flash fist looks cooler than corkscrew now is a bit weird.

so you like spending thousands of dollars/or waste time merchanting for hp wash??

imo maple needs rebirth system because there are way too many level 200s right now and chars tend to be useless after that...that's why i never plan to hit level 200 or even near that on any of my chars

Also it is not like free + power/survivability hurts anyone...and if u don't want to rebirth u can always choose not to...

and i doubt u will quit for rebirth...

I would quit. That's complete bullshit. Some guy could just leech his chars up with crazy equips and make himself a literal godclass. Imagine a Warrior with max HP, MP, and MG, along with all the other Warrior skills. That would make this game even more broken that it is.

@ Stereo: They tested Lightning Blast on PB in a PS here on SP. Turns out we're not nerfed after all, but we still somehow lose out in DPS to Heroes, despite them being half as strong as normal. :f6:

Having a life. I can't devote my entire life to get myself up to 150, then rebirth myself and go become more powerful. It's a retarded system.

And just because everyone CAN do it doesn't mean it's equal to everyone.

if you haven't realized yet the whole point any mmo is to spend more time than any1 else to be more powerful

and if u say u play for ur friends you can still do with the rebirth system

if you claim that you indeed have a life and play the game for the fun only then u should not mind other people spending more time on this game and became more powerful than you...since they already do..

no mmorpg is even close to being equal to everyone since whoever spent the most time will always win

I rather have a life and make money instead of spending 24/7 on a game..

Spending 24/7 on a game will be the end of anyone, no matter what you do.

One of my friends went this route, and he can't even keep a job because he keeps skipping shifts to play games.

I think rebirth breaks the point of having separate classes. You're supposed to have strengths and weaknesses, not be (as DualReaver called it) a literal godclass.

In any case, the people that already have hit 200 and have another char in the works will be pissed. It's probably too late to implement this large of a change and please all of their userbase.

learn to read plzz...just because you can rebirth after a certain level, it doesn't mean that you are forced to play 24/7...spending 1 hour a day playing over 10 days can achieve the same effect as playing 10 hours in 1 day

so to counter those weakness you implement rebirth Big Grin

and a max HP washed NL is pretty much a godclass because they do the most dmg at boss and they can survive better than unwashed warriors...

rebirth is just a cheap way of eliminating the need of hp wash

I have a question

Are you the same 'King' that played CABAL Online about a year and a 1/2 ago and got your ass kicked in Guild war?

Also, even if you play less than the other person, the person that plays more will ALWAYS be ahead of you.

Where have you been? NLs aren't the godly class they used to be anymore.

Any well-funded Corsair hitting on a single target beats the sh'it out of a Night Lord.

How does that have anything to do with rebirth...As far as i know NL always have the highest DPS with SE than Corsair...

How godly a class compared to others is reflected by the prices of their scrolls..like how sword and claw scrolls are the most expensive scrolls in the game

gun scrolls are worthless...if corsairs are the most godly dps like u said they are then why didn't people jump on the badwagon of making corsairs like those herotards??

Now 2Major Boss...

Black Magician and Balrog

---------------------------
If you have played maplestory for more than 5years.. you might know the story of Balrog,, Now 2 story

Hah. I knew that the Black Magician would have been a boss for sure. Now waiting to know how it will look like and how strong it will be.

Also, the BGM better be the most epic one in MapleStory.

BombsAway Wrote:Seems like a lot of hot air but the one thing that really bugs me about both this and the following posts in this topic is pink bean discussion.

Pink Bean is supposed to be the ultimate boss. Maybe the interviewed member of Nexon gave a dumb reason, but it's still just. Nerfing Pink Bean in any way would make him farmable, and that's not the intent for this boss. We're not supposed to go in there with a really good chance of winning. We're supposed to go in as warriors, ready to give it everything we've got and maybe, just maybe, we'll make it through. If not today, we regroup and grow stronger and challenge him again later. When the power creep is as heavy as it has been in maple recently, nerfing pink bean would turn him into another Zakum within only months, and that has never been the intent. As a matter of fact, I believe that if we ever get to the point naturally where people are farming PB, Nexon will toss something new into the mix just to raise the difficulty level again.

It's always going to be a fight to the death. Accept it.

BombsAway Wrote:The Black Magician doesn't necessarily need to be more difficult. Pink Bean is an optional TRY-AND-DIE boss. The Black Magician could be crazy hard but with no time limit and so forth, he could be defeatable for most. Most games have an ULTIMATE BOSS that has nothing to do with the main story, and as far as I'm concerned, Pink Bean is that. Just getting to the thing has you jumping through hoops, and almost all ultimate bosses have that. I think the only questionable choice of Nexon's was releasing it so early. But even then, it allows people to refine their skills and will probably make the battle with the Black Magician a little more bearable.

To me, the Black Magician is obviously going to be the ultimate boss. Maybe he won't have a time limit (which I doubt), but he's still going to be the final boss, which ends the game's storyline.

It looks pretty obvious to me that, if they made such a cute being like Pink Bean so powerful, they did it purposely, to make us understand that, if such a cute being is so powerful, then the Black Magician, who's a monstrous being, will probably be a lot more powerful than it. Which means an even more "almost-impossible-to-defeat" boss, the final one.

That's what I'm thinking the Black Magician will be. An even more epic fight against death. Hopefully my theories will be right.
