From what I've read from Spadows blog you are able to ride your dragon
at certain lvls, Just not while attacking (Think Riding/Taming Mob)

Yeah, they did a really bad job on it. I wonder why in the world they changed Taipei 101.

oh please, stupid excuse about the neo city part.
what about kerning square then? there's no such thing as fee to enter taipei 101, why create kerning square?!

...why not remove the fee, and keep the content then. That's a total BS excuse...

Among other things Archers need to have a base HP of at lest 12k at lv 200, not 4800 HP as it is now.

Seems like a lot of hot air but the one thing that really bugs me about both this and the following posts in this topic is pink bean discussion.

Pink Bean is supposed to be the ultimate boss. Maybe the interviewed member of Nexon gave a dumb reason, but it's still just. Nerfing Pink Bean in any way would make him farmable, and that's not the intent for this boss. We're not supposed to go in there with a really good chance of winning. We're supposed to go in as warriors, ready to give it everything we've got and maybe, just maybe, we'll make it through. If not today, we regroup and grow stronger and challenge him again later. When the power creep is as heavy as it has been in maple recently, nerfing pink bean would turn him into another Zakum within only months, and that has never been the intent. As a matter of fact, I believe that if we ever get to the point naturally where people are farming PB, Nexon will toss something new into the mix just to raise the difficulty level again.

It's always going to be a fight to the death. Accept it.

If the trainable monster progression continues as it has been, then yeah, they probably will.

But there's a difference between making it hard and making it nearly impossible. I don't think PB should be farmable either, but it certainly doesn't seem as if the thing would go down at all any time soon. Also, where the hell does Black Magician fit in then? Isn't he supposed to be the real final boss? If he's harder than PB, then he'd pretty much be impossible.

But mostly, I wanted to comment on how stupid that answer was. "Well, y'know...our cheats were able to kill him, so we think it's pretty fair."

Even if you could kill it (which we can't which is the whole point of telling them to increase the timer), the boss sucks up so much money that it's impossible for it to get to that point. If it was beatable then there would be 1 or 2 groups at max (the only server with 2 groups would be the bigger servers. Scania, windia) who would kill it, probably once a week. How is that "farming"?

Even if it got to the point where it's killed, a run is still easily f'ucked over. Just because it can be killed doesn't mean it's easy. Of course that doesn't really work the other way around.

The Black Magician doesn't necessarily need to be more difficult. Pink Bean is an optional TRY-AND-DIE boss. The Black Magician could be crazy hard but with no time limit and so forth, he could be defeatable for most. Most games have an ULTIMATE BOSS that has nothing to do with the main story, and as far as I'm concerned, Pink Bean is that. Just getting to the thing has you jumping through hoops, and almost all ultimate bosses have that. I think the only questionable choice of Nexon's was releasing it so early. But even then, it allows people to refine their skills and will probably make the battle with the Black Magician a little more bearable.

Holy s'hit dude. I was reading some of those articles the other day. Goddammit, who the f'uck can sit through a 18 hour fight. I lol'd at one of the comments that said most of the people going through those stances are NEETs.

Racie Wrote:Q. Right now.. we cant defeat the boss "Pink Bean". Can you please ask the manager to lower the hp of pinkbean or add an extra hour?

A. We are not going to change Pink Bean. GM's have defeated PinkBean so we thought maple users could defeat Pink Bean PQ as well.. After Finishing the balancing test at January, we think that users could defeat Pinkbean around March~April.

Goggleemoticon Are they implying that the changes to AMs, Shadowers, and Pallys will help with killing PB? That would mean some serious changes would have to be implemented to their bossing abilities...

If PB was weak to thunder and not neutral at least we could possibly get some KB going with apple blasting pallys : (

Remove hp washing (by making the hp/mp pool be two different pools) but make it so that you gain like 100/250/225/350/300 hp (mage/archer/thief/warrior/pirate) per AP added into hp. Then we'd have blood builds and would have odds at surviving bosses/higher monsters. That and maybe they should double the current amount of hp we get when leveling. What's the point of having a 30k hp cap if almost no one even gets half way there.

Those numbers might be a bit high so someone out there can find out how much lower they'd have to be to be fair. But would at least encourage a blood build slightly and would give us a medium to survivability without having to restore to nerfing anything.

At level 190 or so, even w/ lightning weakness, my max Blast would still only be about 71k... his neutral resistance really kills any chance of KB. You might get better numbers from appled CL.

Of course, if they bumped Blast to something reasonable like 750-800%, then it wouldn't be so bad.

It's just a convenient upper limit. You're not "supposed" to be hitting 30k combos, either.

I don't think HP/MP should be adjustable stats at all. Make do with the HP you're given. It's enough.

you have to get the drop item from the toad boss and samurai boss to go in neo tokyo which KMS doesn't have

So instead of changing the entrance quest, they nerfed every single monster?

Real logical there...
