TKWizard Wrote:No. It effectively freezes your mana bar until Infinity expires. Even if you pot? D:

With Infinity on your mp won't go down no matter what. This applies to 1/1, getting hit with mg on, that Zakum drain arm, ect. However, your mp can still go up by potting, mp eater or natural regen every 10 sec. Keep in mind it can be dispelled though

Yea, if infinity's cooldown time ever were reduced, it'd easily be one of the most coveted mage job skills.
I remember when I finally had enough MP to tank a Bigfoot hit, I'd fire on infinity, and purposefully hug Bigfoot and take consecutive hits, all while spam healing. Everyone couldn't figure out at first how I was able to take so much damage. But yeah, infinity's cooldown sucks the big one.

I hate the cooldown on it too. It could be atleast 90 seconds to make it useful in a Mage's life but it's like 10 mins (I believe).

I blame Ultimates being so powerful that they couldn't give a shorter cooldown. I agree though they could have given at least a small enough cooldown to make Mages consider taking Inifinity as part of their staple 4th job skills instead of just somewhere to dump remaining 4th job SP to.

Eh. I'd rather have a stronger Mana Reflection skill, something that worked more like PG. 100% success rate, doing at least 20-30ks every time you get hit at bosses...something to make it a truly unique "attacking" skill for Magicians to help boost our DPS, albeit a completely random one due to its activation being a monster's attack. I agree that a lower cooldown on Infinity would be awesome, but there comes a time when HP, not MP, is the more important stat towards survival (HT's tail, etc).

Be that as it may, you got to admit that infinity with a 10 minute cooldown is pretty useless in most situations. Out of curiosity, since you're level 200, where did infinity fall in your final build (if at all)?

As I said, I agree that a lower cooldown would be awesome - nay, as you said, would make the skill not so useless. It was my, as IllegallySane put it, "somewhere to dump remaining 4th job SP to" skill. With 10 points saved for MW30 and everything else maxed, my Infinity has a nice 3x second duration, which is more than enough. When you have 30k MP with HB, HP, again, becomes the survival-determining stat. |
