Back when the quests appeared in the quest log, if you accepted the quest, then forfeited it, the quest would move into your "Completed" section. Now that the Medal UI is out, it just reads that you have the medal, even though you don't.

but the Horned Tail Slayer quest only appears available to you if you have defeated Horntail at least once before. Thus, the same applies to Pink Bean Slayer. That would imply that the person in the screenshot has successfully defeated Pink Bean, which isn't really possible, so... something's really wrong here.

Are you sure? I'm not going to pretend that I know the quest.wz file, but couldn't it just be that simply attempting to PB grants you access to the PB slayer medal quest?

Maybe it is attempting. I only tried Horntail once and it was a success so I assumed you had to at least kill him once in order to apply for the medal. I wouldn't think failure would change your ability to start the Slayer medal quest.

The Pink Bean Slayer Medal quest appeared to me after I got to that point in the Time Temple (it might have been that I used my first Marble of Chaos to actually enter the registry NPC room). When the patch first came out, I didn't have that quest in the list. But it appeared not long after, and I believe that was the trigger. Something triggered it, and it definitely wasn't defeating PB. I never attempted to kill it, either. Then I was able to "complete" it like the others.

In short, I'm saying my theory is you only have to enter the registry room to make it appear. I don't know what else I could have done to trigger it.

Okay I just checked in with Dalair.

Apparently I can attempt the PB Slayer medal o.O I never went beyond Lyka, but I did complete the Marble of Chaos quest.

Ditto to everything Felix said. I'd screenshot that I "have" the medal as well, but his is enough proof. I don't recall exactly when the quest became available, but I just remember it always being there every since the medal quest...then again I did all of the Time Temple quests the first 7 hours the patch was out, so I most likely triggered it before really talking to Dalair.
