Thinking of making a Lukless FP Mage...

So my question is...how?

If I go lukless (btw im unfunded) I cant equip any new stuff can I? Like wands and armor and stuff??

This is my first time trying to make a Lukless mage, plz help! =)

as for weapons, you will use: Wooden wand-> green paint brush/umbrellas-> maple staff-> maple lama staff/nocturnal staff-> maple wisdom staff-> ewand1/ewand2-> ewand5/ewand6.

I play EMS btw...where can I get the Maple weapons?? If from FM, how much? (cuz im completely unfunded as of now. so i prob wont be able to get zhelm and some other equips even at lvl 50...).

and...err...a paintbrush?? and umbrellas? do they have any magic attacks at all? cuz otherwise lukless might turn out weaker wudnt it??

They wouldn't recommend them if they didn't have int.
If you want your lukless to be as good as other luklesses, you need to have the money to scroll and actually buy those equips.
Unfunded doesn't usually work with statless classes.

Actually, Lukless magicians are several times cheaper than Luk magicians because they mainly just cruise along with their naturally high int.

If you're going with just a 100%ed maple weapon, yeah.
No scrolled earrings, sauna, zakum helmet (at all), snow shoes, gloves, etc.

Also note that lukless magicians lose 10% of their exp bar every time they die, as opposed to normal luk mages.

From my personal experience with my ice lightning mage, Lukless mages are always cheaper than reg-luk, and also stronger.
Just 100% int earrings, lama staff and the rest is added from your higher int and you're already stronger.

just get a black umbrella, its a level 70 umbrella (1-hnd sword) that has m.attk instead. as for a zhelm, since youre in eMS; find a non-class-specific hat instead. o-o

I wouldn't suggest Purple Gaias because they have a lower magic attack range than Purple Adventurers. Not to mention they're level 60, and much rarer.

between lv 65 and 130 when you will be relying on poison, you won't ever need to do more then 1 damage anyways.

So you dont really need anything special for equips during that time period, and i personally trained with HP equips and used an emergency tube as a weapon, because more HP was more of a benefit to me then more damage that would be wasted anyways. my lukless FP mage was extremely cheap before meteor levels.

even at lv 145 i use a clean ewand 5 and level 0 top and bottom scrolled for HP. HP glove, HP shield, HP cape... I still have enough damage to OHKO blue monks and I would be 2HKOing skeles at this point wether i have good equips or not.

Though you don't NEED to do damage it's always nice to have some fire power =D. I would have quit my F/P if not for all the times I spent killing random stuff like dual ghost pirates, elderwraiths, nighshadows, death teddies, Headless Horsemans, etc.

It gets old doing nothing but training for 65 levels.

i dont suggest a black umbrella for ems, go for a kebob and feel free to add Nielz in game i am a lv 104 priest in ems semi-actieve and lukless

Like the people here said wooden wand,green brush,maplestaff(clean ones are around 6/7m),maple llama staff/noc staff(very cheap,3m avg)..The lvl 64 weapons are a bit more expensive(15-20m clean for good one)

For equipment;overall int 100% scrolls are 500-800k each
shoes(squishy shoes give +1 stats,some def and speed
wg(yellow wgs are kinda expensive 7-10m,scrolls are aswell)
hat(black danas are 3m avg,Zhelms are cheap,avg ones come for 50-70m,start saving up by doing quests that give scrolls.
Cape (8int capes are like 8-10m
earrings(4/8 are 8-12m)

This post is exactly right for endgame- Metero Blasting action.
However when you are in the Poisoning stages of F/P- Magic Attack is of little concern (poison auto takes to 1 hp) So jump and speed gear are also important.
(so wearing something like a Pirate Hat while waiting on a zhelm or using a speed weapon etc would be helpful)
Just saying this.

Lukless is a bad idea. Damage isn't everything. The worst thing about this is that your making a MAGE. No one ever throws us in a pq/boss run.

Tips:
Avoid luk.
Buy a cheap maple wand/staff
Level up
And enjoy it to the fullest.

Advice: You will love playing your Lukless F/P Mage...

I played mine, almost to 3rd job, but I got hacked =/
Therefore, lost the encouragement to create another...

But, first job: You will play as a normal Lukless Magician, with high damage
Second job: Fire Arrow first I believe, since you're Lukless, your damage is highest... Poison Bracer doesn't rely on your INT, therefore it's the same with/without LUK.
You'll love seeing your Fire Arrow hit so high~
