Question About Luckless Mages
#1
Since every point to int is one magic attack, does it mean that a mage with 100 luk and 500 int wearing a 80 matt staff will do the same damage as a mage with 30 luk and 570 int wearing a 10 matt staff?

Technically, yes, which is lukless is so much stronger than luk.

Well, I know what type of a flame wizard im going to make now Goggleemoticon

I dont think getting luk equips is even worth it, I'll probably use the default noblesse equips and maple weapons\ele wands.

Actually, this depends on which is cheaper, an ele wand 1 or ele staff 1. A flame wizard with a 25% boost even with luk would be stronger than one using a maple weapon.

Chances are, ele wand 1s are gunna shoot up in price once cygnus is released. So will ele staff 1, but not as much since everyone's going to make their cygnus lukless.

Int actually has a pretty minor effect on damage, like STR for archers or DEX for Bandits. If it weren't for Ele wands regular equips would be about on par with lukless with Maker.

But ele staffs require like 100 luk, isn't it better to have 4 luk and give away the 30 matt?

i have a wand 2 that i might use over a maple weapon. is it still worth it?

I'm saying that ele wand 1 might not only be hard to find because everyone will be buying one, and even then they'll be expensive. The 103 staff requires 105 luk, so with a zhelm and maker'd equips you can cap at about 83 luk, which also allows you to wear the lvl 80 equips. With int bonuses from your equips and the extra MA from the staff, you have almost as much MA with what i'm guessing is much less of a cost.

And Holypie, that's more MA plus a 10% damage increase. Use it.

Lukless also gives you a $hitload more MP, and even if they release new weapons for Luk mages, you can still do good damage with lukless without the godliest gear, becasue most of your damage comes from your base Int. So, if you don't have gazillions of mesos and want to play a mage, lukless may be a better bet for you.

Keep in mind you can also use a EW/ES 2 for a smaller fire boost, but a whole bunch cheaper.

Mage equips don't cost that much. I don't get it when people say it costs a lot to play a luk mage. Especially when maker comes out.

You get a few thousand more MP for being lukless. But by end game this matters very little.

25% to main, 10% to secondary. So 25% poison, 10% fire.
