E-wand question

hi, i'm a soon-to-be 13x fire-poison mage in scania. I've been wanting one of those elemental wand #1's to boost my fire damage so i've taken up merchanting to afford it.

i've been merchanting for a few weeks now and have noticed a trend with elemental wands and staves in general. they're becoming more commonly put up for sale and the price is slowly dropping. (badly)scrolled wands are increasingly being put on sale too. Why? are there new sources of them? has the gachapon list been changed to make them drop more often?

why are the poison(elemental wand 2) wands more common then all the other wands, and why is the fire(elemental wand 1) wand so rare it's even more expensive then the ice wand? In scania fire/poison stuff is generally cheap, even super rare skillbooks, because there are only a handful of us anyways.

If you are, than I think you should just buy one now.. The economy in Scania is not stable...

yeah, i meant to add that question to the end of my post but i guess i forgot

the e-wands are still really rare... but i see them in shops maybe twice as much as i have a few weeks ago. (but 2x a small number... still small!) if they are more abundant because the gach drop rate has increased, then i want to wait a while. if they are abundant from leftover wands when gach tickets were on sale, i want to buy now.

right now i have no need to train my mage very much... it's terribly expensive and my rate of training directly depends on how much i could merchant the previous day. i'd rather wait until i get that fire wand and i dont have to cast so many meteos to kill newties.

a week ago, i hadnt seen a fire wand below 220 mil. this week, ive seen a few at 170 mil. maybe the sample size(all the wands in FM) is too small due to their rarity, but im still fairly sure the prices are dropping.

Elemental wand 2 prices won't go down after cygnus because once wand 1 prices shoot through the roof, wand 2 is still decent with the 10% increase.

staves 1-4 are level 103 luk required
wands 5-8 are level 130 lukless

1- fire
2- poison
3- ice
4- lightning

wands are between 100 and 200 mil depending on element
staves 400-500 mil (???)
wands 5-8 are about one bil give or take

well after finding something extremely valuable item for cheap i decided to spend all my money on getting a fire wand

marketing has a lot more potential for profit and i dont have to deal very much with demanding idiots who want leech. it's also fun! win win all around

now i just have to get more investment money. anyone want to buy a 4/94 poison wand in scania?

People are panicking, thinking the reduct may come into effect soon, so they are trying to sell while they can to preserve their investment. There is no basis to this thought though, so if you see prices start to rise again, I'd get the best you can then and there.

So there is no increased in supply of e-wands then?

i see a lot of bishops selling wands and such, but i dont have any information before the previous 4 weeks to compare how often bishops are selling their weapons between now and before the rumors.

This instantly reminds me of a certain AM that frequents this forum that's posting a lot about a certain issue about bishops owning wands. Too lazy to go dig up the posts, but it's on the maple forums too.

I also think that the fact that people are panicking and selling their wands is funny. They fear the prices will go down, so they sell what they have, resulting in lots on the market, causing competition that lowers the price, so they end up self-fulfilling their fear.

Well, in Broa, I do see an increase in Ice/Lightning Wands in the market. However, the Fire Wands are still rare as ever (Clean Wand 1 in Broa reaches a high of 300m, Wand 5 can be 1.2b or more); though no one wants the Poison wands (always see them cheap).

I bought my Ele Wand 6 for 230 mil. Granted, it's 147 ma att SCROLLED, but for 230 mil I'm more than happy. If the ele wands are nerfed, I still think I'd profit by reselling.

Hell; if I had the money, both of my mages on Broa would be toting the elementals
wand/staves. But I don't; so I'm either having to save for a while & get my weapons that way, or try for a bit of luck at the gachapon.

I really don't see many things besides KoC that could possibly contribute to any INCREASE per se on prices. I don't think KoC is even on the horizon at the moment, which means you're more than safe to hold out for now. If prices really are going down (I don't see the prices going down, but I do see a heckuvalot more wands) then waiting at least another month is almost certainly safe (since there's no word on KoC)

I really don't see many things besides KoC that could possibly contribute to any INCREASE per se on prices. I don't think KoC is even on the horizon at the moment, which means you're more than safe to hold out for now. If prices really are going down (I don't see the prices going down, but I do see a heckuvalot more wands) then waiting at least another month is almost certainly safe (since there's no word on KoC)

Yes, but people see Elemental Wands/Staves deflating and don't notice that detail. Therefore, they panic and sell their own, in fact creating the very deflation they were afraid of.
