I think I'd leave Fire Arrow at 1 in favor of maxing Booster and Medi. Magic Claw is enough for 2nd job and Fire Strike seems to replace it completely (unless it's significantly slower than Arrow for some reason). Booster and Medi aren't hugely important but Medi's useless at 10 (might as well max Booster and use Wizard Elixirs) and I'd rather have longer buff timers than a skill I'd rarely ever use.

I don't see why seal matters at all once you get meteo.

You don't have that many points for second job... you get 121 SP in total, right? O_o
I would do second job like this: pillar -> 11 booster -> teleport -> meditate -> 20 booster -> reset -> magic armor -> slow
I think that fire arrow should be dropped because fire pillar and fire strike are ridiculously overpowered.

Each skill takes 20 SP. Seven skills. 140 SP to max all of them. Drop shitty Fire Arrow. 120 SP required. 1 SP Left over. Learn Fire Arrow for lulz.

i was wondering if it would be better to skip Ele amp in the long run for flame wizards ? i was thinking of not getting ele amp for mine once it comes out cause of it doubleing the mp and only giving additional 35% ?

Flame Wizards have no other means of preventing monsters from attacking them. Getting hit = lots of MP wasted. If you're not 1-2hkoing Seal can be pretty helpful.

Why go Fire Curtain first in 3rd Job? You have Fire Strike, freaking 140 base damage with the speed and range of Fire Demon. Add the fact that you already have Spell Booster in 2nd Job and Amp only has 20 levels, so you'll have max Fire Strike, Booster and Amp at level 86!
The only reason F/P Mages hardly go Explosion first is the cast speed and the fact you'll only reach your prime somewhere around lvl 93. Both issues get fixed here. Oh, you also have 70 INT more. Add in a Fire Wand and you'll beat 'poison mist' training anytime.
I think the Fire Curtain build will be bandwagonned, since lots of players with little experience with F/P Mages will only see 'zomg MIST overpowered lulz'. Fire Strike first, no Curtain at all, I dare you!

When Cygnus comes out, we'll have the Accuracy based status, so you wouldn't be able to early Mist Train very effectively anymore. However, if you could, you should at least have 1 Fire Strike to kill 1HP mobs. Its range is pineappleing huge.

Fire Curtain + Blue Kents = epic Exp. Seen some pretty crazy training vids of FMs there.

It's 30%. AND YES, IT IS WORTH IT. 100%. With a fire wand, that goes up to 162% damage. If you don't get amp, you're missing out on a ton of damage.

I'll put that down as an alternative build.

Don (Knewbo) went to Blue Kents right out of 3rd job advancement.
He went Curtain first build.
Fking 1 level in 1 hour.
I envy him.

Cygnus mages need accuracy? also fire pillar could just as easily kill 1 hp mobs. but exactly how big is fire strikes range? 200? 300? 600?

No, you get the levels by doing quests.

Using Fire Pillar means you have to walk into mobs. The only reason should be to hit things too high or low for Strike. It's much safer to use Strike, and you won't have to go all the way to the edges of platforms and maps to hit everything you want. Plus, I'm pretty sure it's a faster attack.

Your meteo will be VERY weak to train the remaining 10 levels to 120.
I analyzed all flame wizard skills but in the end i decided to go for windbreaker.

If you save your points and add 30 SP in Meteo at level 110, you can probably 2hko Jr. Newties.
