Sure, let's spread this disease far and wide! We don't know how dangerous it could be, but who cares? What's the worst that could happen, a couple million die? Sure, it may keep people home from work and make the economy worse. Hell, it may even be used as a bioweapon! Maybe it will mutate into the worst disease mankind has every seen! But gosh, do I need a day off of school. Let's spread this baby!

Oh, but it gets better! You're a genius! Infect the children! They'll start spreading it like wildfire! Who cares if their immune systems might not be able to handle it? So what if they're America's future and without them, the human race may suffer? I sure don't care. I don't care what happens to my kids or whatever after I die. Let the world go down, what do I care as long as I get a day off of school/work!

2 schools in HISD (Houston Independent School District) have been closed for a week for Swine Flu.
All schools in Dallas are closed, not sure on the county name.
I live in Katy, about 15mins from Houston.
there are 2 cases in Bellaire and one a county away, all of those are so close to me.
All I know is if someone at school gets it we get out for about 2 weeks and don't have to make it up.
So its a win loose situation. Confusedpook:

But yea, I'm starting to get scared.

Ehh for some reason I like when disaster happens cuz it brings out the best in people. After Hurricane Wilma my neighbors finally decided to help us out.

For some reason when ever life is normal nothing ever good happens in my life. Anyways along time ago I figured out that my life is worthless to the human population in terms of how I look at it, and since a huge number of the population is flawed, Id rather watch our race as a whole suffer and be reborn into a better race. In fact ID rather have barbaric aliens invade us and kill us all and utilize the earths resources for them because they have achieved greater knowledge than us in terms of space travel so I assume they would have a better understanding of the purpose of life and would use the earths resources better. Im only here because I dont want to bother relearning how to live in the after life/rebirth and Im here to use the world to entertain my self. For some reason I have been denied to good hearing, good eyesight, and the ability to reproduce and satisfy women. When I was a little kid people used to make fun of me for my physical appearance and my hard hearing, they thought my intellect for learning and my spiritual questioning and the fact that I tell my true opinion just too socially unacceptable. The human race too is flawed and according to a large population of the human race, we are all gonna be put to extinction anyways so Id rather not support the madmen that want to win the competition of claiming the earth. With that said Im not here to cause violence to humans because someday we may evolve into something greater, something smarter, something more perfect. But thats not gonna happen in my life time and it wont be my children that will be reaping the benefits. So Im just here to enjoy and watch the horrors and beauty of the world. After all disaster does bring out the best in people.

With that said Im just here to enjoy what I can and watch stuff happens.

So with that said if the swine flu happened in only like 2 or 3 people that it happens to every year, it wont make my life any more entertaining or bring out the good of people. So let it evolve into an actual disaster and let it bring out the best genes and the best people out so live to see their actions and their good and one day regain hope for the humans.

so human suffering is worth it as long as people are sympathetic afterwards and you get a day or two off from school? you have a lot of growing up to do. tragedy causes nothing but more tragedy.

Unless.... You stop feeling tragedy >.>
For some reason when I was 12 I stopped feeling bad when people got hurt >.> Or when I got hurt >.>
Right now I feel indifferent towards whether or not I or someone gets killed. Its nice to live but it doesnt feel nice to feel sad.

So the solution is finding more things in life entertaining. And like I said idc if the human race suffers, if I had a choice I would rather not be human. But I am and I dont know how to stop being human so Id rather sit back and enjoy life regardless what happens.

Oh. Okay then.

I feel the same. Right now, I feel indifferent towards whether or not I or someone gets killed.

So what the hell, it's not like I'll care if YOU die by the Swine Flu or anything.

-End of scenario-

Sitting back and enjoying life =/= Watching the human race suffer.

Yea but right now the panic and confusion and media coverage due to some 3K people out of 7 billion getting a new virus seems entertaining. 100 People die of regular flu somewhere in the world everyday. Why should the swine flu be any different. Right now I wanna see this episode "carried out" just to see what happens. Right now this swine flu and egypt slaughthering all of their pigs seems pretty illogical and funny. So let it continue, who knows, in the midst of the process our gene pool develops immunity to this virus along with some future ones.

-Feels totally Rolleyes at how you ignored my hypothetical situation D=-

1. It's because even more people are dieing per day. Plus, the Swine Flu has the potential of spreading. And killing. Badly.

2. See what happens? Okay.

1% of the Earth is still living. That's roughly 60,000,000 humans. Out of 6 billion. A handful really, really, good people, but over 55% of those people are resorting to murder to live.

Your situation of our gene pool developing immunity is kind of funny, too. You cannot gain immunity to this virus suddenly, unless your immune system can somehow fight this off. And that didn't happen yet in the 100ish deaths so far. Only an estimated 1% of the Earth has genetic immunity. Genes can't change.

3. I guess Egypt slaughtering all of their pigs is kind of funny, if you like satirical humor. But they want to live. That drives most humans.
